Yesterday, I attended Beaver Con.With such a hilarious name, it's a Con created as a space for women/women identified gamers. It was really a great experience that sold out. They had a bring & buy, library, drinks & food, merch & Beaver tail playmats on each table! Can't wait til next time time!

Folks from the collapsed Merchant's Cove campaign are getting a harsh reminder that shipping games is very expensive and that many (most?) campaign creators subsidize (sometimes heavily) the actual shipping fees. (Zone A is the US, Zone B is CA)

I love how 20 years ago people begged Gen Con to move from Indianapolis to somewhere that doesn't hate minorities. The resounding defense was "They're locked into a five year contract!" Now 20 years later they're being asked to leave Indianapolis, and it's "They can't! They're in a long contract!"

I've always enjoyed a good Pfister, but I hadn't ever tried Isle of Skye. I feel like I might not have pegged it as a Pfister game if it wasn't written, though. It feels like an upgraded Carcassonne + auction. I think I prefer my favs, Oh My Goods & GWT styled Pfisters. #boardgames #boardgamesky
