Similarities between ICE & the Gestapo

This economist gives really good interviews. And that’s not a sentence you read very often.

How much longer will the world put up with this?

A reminder, in case you need one, that women are incredible athletes

The spurs don't fall far from the bones.

Sounds like he should have been cutting back on his substance use, not our federal government.

Men are extremely keen to explain to me that Britain *needs* a domestic steel production plant and doesn't necessarily *need* universities. Okay. Steel contributed about £1.7bn to the UK economy in 2024. Universities contributed more than £200bn.

Rachel Reeves vs reality: The economics of the two-child cap youtu.be/b3GFjLR0Wjs?... The government claims it cannot afford to pay benefits for the elderly, children in poverty, and people with disabilities. That is nonsense. Simple economic analysis shows that these benefits pay for themselves.

There's nothing holy about writing discrimination into the law.

Do Cybertruck owners know that when someone stops to take a photo of them, it's not because they think the driver is cool, but because they're going to call them a wanker somewhere on the Internet?

The best part? During talks in Istanbul Russian delegation hinted Ukraine’s representatives could “lose family members”, deputy head of Ukraine’s MFA Kyslytsia shared. Bullying and even threatening to kill the loved ones as attempt to persuade. Classic Russia in nutshell, Soviets on the rocks.

I think we can put to rest the notion that offshore wind turbines spoil views and economies. The fact is that they can make coastal sites far more interesting and boost tourism as people travel to experience them, sometimes even up close. Boat tours to see the turbines are "surprisingly popular."

You're a passenger in a speeding car headed for a distant brick wall. The driver leaps out, shouting "all yours now". You slide into their seat. If you smash into the wall having made zero attempt to slow or steer, the crash is YOUR fault. The same applies to Labour keeping terrible Tory policies.

I've never seen this method of visualisation before. It's very good.

Baby, we were BORN TO RUN!...

This is what happens when you only view things through the lens of "political benefit" rather than actually improving people's lives. Scrapping the two child limit would lift hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty. That's the benefit!

Your regular reminder that: - Renewables are THE cheapest form of energy - New North Sea oil & gas WON'T bring down the UK's energy costs - WIND IS CHEAPER THAN OIL & GAS - the sun is also RIGHT THERE

As can be seen below, in the late 1990s, Farage was using foul racist language. It wasn't the early 1970s when such language was commonplace. It was in the late 1990s when only hardcore racists would talk like that. Unfortunately, this damning information is largely ignored

This is the great cover up of brexit. You never hear about this in the MSM.

Quote (from nr 23) : Raising GDP growth is impossible without addressing the trade-related problems. And, my own view is that this cannot be done without more ambitious improvements to the UK’s most important trading partner – the EU. /23

"Will a complicated (and costly) mitigation of the policy be sufficient – symbolically and substantively – to cut through to a disappointed electorate? Successful U-turns have tended to be big and bold" Think John Major scrapping the poll tax.

After more than a year of threats from us, the Charity Commission has finally agreed to open a formal investigation into the Institute for Economic Affairs, the so-called charity responsible for Liz Truss' calamitous mini budget. goodlaw.social/00rn
