Evening #runningpunks. The Solstice Saunter done, at the beautiful Bolton Abbey. Only 5 miles but hilly and tough in the heat and humidity. I last ran it three years ago. My pace today was 1s per Km quicker. Progress is progress, I’m not complaining. 🎧 Yeah Yeah Yeahs; Fever To Tell.

Morning #runningpunks. Back from Split and travelled up to High Force in the north Pennines yesterday. A lovely 12k loop up in the hills, with last 4k alongside the Tees and the stunning waterfalls. 🎧 Black Sabbath; Paranoid, then Lambrini Girls; Who Let The Dogs Out.

Split run #3 #runningpunks. A lap around the stunning Marjan Park. My first two runs were largely trails/paths. This was all road/trail at side of road but included a mile stretch in woodland along the sea where no cars are allowed. 🎧 Spunge; Pedigree Chump (no pigeons were kicked in this Park).

A lovely post-work run #runningpunks. Still sunny up ‘ere. The wild garlic is still in bloom. The bluebells are starting to wilt. Cows in full sun at the start and in the shade of the woods mid-run. It was the #runningpunks #vrc today, also the Yorkshire Punks monthly catchup in Leeds. Granary Wharf to the Uni, a lap around Hyde park and back for coffee. Joy Division OTD 1978: Rafters, Manchester. Stiff Records Test / Chiswick Challenge, a touring battle of the bands by the record labels. Ian harassed Tony Wilson to put JD on TV. No record deal but a 2am set impressed Wilson and resident DJ Rob Gretton decided to manage the band.
