Having a bit of a hard time with the concept that if a guy in a police uniform who has a police vehicle shows up I should lock the doors and call 911, but if a guy in a ski mask with an hGH gut appears to be kidnapping my neighbor, I shouldn’t ask who he is if I don’t want federal charges.

Glad to see an organization do this. I wonder if they're going to examine their teachings to see what they could have done differently.

UPDATED TODAY: If you're looking to get in touch with us about a specific issue related to the Trump administration, we've got a list of the federal agencies/topics our reporters are covering + their secure contact information 👇

Kansas needs to rewrite their mandatory reporting laws so that everyone in teh state is a mandated reporter. They need strong penalties for failure to comply, and the laws need to be enforced.

We need to stop putting performers on pedestals. The revelations coming out about CCM artists as part of this story are just kind of gross.

Yet another Christian-famous person falls from their pedestal. Plus, a Michigan court case where no one wins. www.bobmuellerwriter...

Turns out that desktop computers don't survive a power outage the way laptops do. I suppose it's good to be reminded about things like that.

Completely absent from Tait's statement is any information about how he's repenting to the victims of his sexual assaults and any other offenses he committed while under the influence. But that's the norm in cases like this.

So we're batting .500 at the convention?

“Love on the Spectrum,” the reality show following adults with autism as they venture into the dating world, turned out to be a surprise hit for Netflix. When UCLA psychologists first proposed teaching adults with autism how to date years ago, funders wouldn’t go near it.

The apparent randomness behind the death penalty is, IMO, a primary reason to end it. The way it's used now makes some murder victims more "worthy" of the state killing their murderers.

Of *course* they did. And it's beyond ironic that the SBC has someone labeled an "ethicist" who's focused on this instead of fixing the sex abuse problem the conference has. #Obergefell www.nytimes.com/2025...

As someone who has remarkably few sex scenes across twenty novels (and what sex scenes there are, are mostly implicit rather than explicit), I feel this. I'm not the author for meltingly hot sex scenes. I will likely never be. I'm glad others are out there to, uh, service that desire.

Kinda like that "Love your neighbor" line I read somewhere.

Good news: The Oklahoma Supreme Court decision barring religious charter schools stands. Bad news: Because SCOTUS tied on their vote. That's uncomfortably close to overturning it. I don't know which way Justice Barrett would have voted. She's Catholic, but she's surprised people in the past.
