"Still Life With Jew at 66."

Studio City, Saturday. I was just stepping out to Starbucks for a cold latte. (But I did my part. Got it with NO ICE.)

If Francis was the People’s’ Pope, are Catholics now the Popeless Peeps?

In 1995, my friend Keith Gordon and I were in Montreal, filming our feature adaptation of the Vonnegut novel, "Mother Night," after five years of struggling to get financing. We blinked our eyes, and thirty years flew by. That's forty-two years of friendship, and counting.

Years ago, a friend tried to convince me to join her in Thailand. I said, "No, too many screaming monkeys and poisonous fruit. You go with your girlfriends and have a good time."

#WhiteLotus SPOILER ALERT: Nailed it! (Except for the monkeys.)

For what it's worth (nothing), my prediction for the season finalé of #WhiteLotus: I think the Walt Goggins character (Rick) is going to eat it. He got away too clean in Ep.7. I also think monkeys might play a role. Maybe a stray gun winds up in the hands of a monkey, who starts shooting.

This is what happens when the dumbest guy in the room insists he’s the smartest guy in the room, and he only surrounds himself with sycophants who are afraid to tell him how fucking stupid he is.

Excuse me??

Just ran across this photo. What I would give to pinch those cheeks, to kiss that face again - to hold her so tight she couldn't possibly disappear again.

If L.A. is home, and NYC is home-away-from-home and London is home-away-from-home-away-from-home, then Paris is home-away-from-home-away-from-home-away-from-home. (2nd photo: Arpège for lunch.)

When I got on a Delta flight to NYC yesterday, I didn't know I'd be able to spend time with this good looking Babe. And yes, I'm sentimental enough that I paused an image on the monitor so I could look at her all through the flight.

I haven't been this ashamed to be an American since the last time Trump was in office.

No credit to me. Found this.

Our government is now being run by a bunch of dunces who couldn’t even pass a basic 5th-grade Civics test.

Linda never had a birthday party as a kid. And when we were together, birthdays were always low-key. In 2018, soon after her diagnosis, I decided to throw her a surprise birthday party, and pulled it off without a hitch. Here's the big moment. 7 years ago, today. Feb. 18, 2018. Volume up.

My funny valentine Sweet comic valentine You make me smile with my heart. Don't change your hair for me Not if you care for me Stay, little Valentine, stay Each day is Valentine's Day. -- Richard Rogers ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Linda❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Stayed in bed until 10AM this morning. I would have gotten up earlier, but it was raining, and my cat was sleeping on my hand in a really cute position.

THREAD: In the Spring of 1977, I found myself at the premiere of Woody Allen’s new film “Annie Hall,” which was the closing event that year for the L.A. International Film Exposition (Filmex). Nothing prepared the audience for the brilliance of this film. (1/11) ...

I've been waiting forever for one of my fave singers, Kat Edmonson to come to L.A., and on Tuesday night, she finally did. It was well worth the wait. She's on a big US tour now, so if she comes to your town, do yourself a favor and go! Tell her I sent you. Here's her dates: katedmonson.com/tour/

When I turn off my espresso machine, the screen says "Good-bye." This irks me. I just want a cup of coffee, not a relationship. What am I supposed to say -- "You hang up first?"

It’s going to be okay, LA. #rainbow

My 2021 film, "Kurt Vonnegut: Unstuck in Time," will finally be leaving Hulu on February 17. It's still available on most VOD platforms, but if you've been meaning to watch it on Hulu, don't delay. And let me know what you think!

When Americans do unimaginably horrible things, let us no longer say, "This is not who we are," because we now know, this is exactly who we are. This man did not seize power. He was elected. Shame on us. Shame on us.

I wonder what all the sad people with empty lives will do when all the brown people are kicked out of the country, and they realize that their lives are still sad and empty.

If only Trump and David Lynch could change places.

Instead of the inauguration, I’ll be watching this double bill to mark the occasion.
