Never seen it framed this way by all recent elections Wild

Looking forward to being the first economy to hit 30% unemployment with 300% inflation

In the old west if someone stopped your train and carried a carbine on it he’d be a train robber

This might be the funniest tweet I've ever read

Meanwhile in Canada. Far-right agitator is granted media access to the federal leaders debates, proceeds to be an asshole

“witches got due process”

You can’t protect Canada if you don’t have a plan to protect our environment. #Debate2025

i have politely asked a number of people to leash their dogs in my apartment complex and about 60% of the time they get really indignant as if im insulting their dog or something.

they do. they are sure it will never be relevant to them or anyone they care about. they're special.

. East Germany (1989) The Berlin Wall didn’t fall because of bombs it fell because East Germans protested week after week, peacefully, until the regime cracked. Real power lies with the people, not the walls they build to control us. #FallOfTheWall #WeAreTheMajority #BerlinWall .

Another victory for congestion pricing. It isn't hurting most restaurants, delivery charges are being spread out to the point of barely being noticeable (as we all argued would happen), and deliveries are arriving on time, helping businesses plan better.

honestly never considered this but it makes sense

Shoutout to Seattle

Golly. HOW DID SHE KNOW???? insider trading motherfuckers

Found the real victims.

we have sacrificed democracy at the altar of hating women and I am not sure I will ever get over that

9 years after the Standing Rock protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline….

Poilievre just called CTV News’ Judy Trinh a “protester” because she dared try to ask him a question outside of the incredibly rigid four-questions-no-follow-up process his party has. Very cool stuff

nvm

Americans have no idea how integrated their economies with China and with us

And Canadians want food products from the US even less than they ever have before. This won't help.

During COVID, we learned the hard way that nearly all our hospital PPE i.e. masks, gowns, gloves comes from China. A 104% tariff could send us straight back to pandemic-level shortages or drive healthcare costs even higher.🫠

PP cannot quit his idol

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed." -Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1953

“McDonalds workers in Denmark make more than Honda workers in Alabama” is such a key point. It’s the institutions, stupid.

in case you're wondering, "what's the harm in claiming an extinct species has been brought back from the dead" when it most certainly has not, our interior secretary is already using it to justify taking animals off the endangered species list

Stars and Stripes is gonna be next if you keep reporting the news.

Anyone else think it’s weird that, like Alberta Health Services, Recovery Alberta has only one board member? And like AHS, also a lot of very questionable contracts? @thebreakdownab.bsky.social

Governance nightmare!

the goal, if it is unclear, is to kill people

Was very interesting to hear him talk about the Greens in the Prairies and their focus on Alberta worker prosperity. It’s something we talk a lot about in solar advocacy in Alberta too: why work to enrich the profits of foreign-owned oil companies instead of working to support Alberta communities?

Don't be shy. Say it.

COVID didn't "turn out fine." Over 1 million people died in just the US. People are still dying. 100s of thousands of people are still dealing with the effects of Long COVID. And the entire country lost its shit and is still unwell. Tariffs will not "turn out fine." Effects will be experienced.

The Canada Health Act needs more teeth if they can just do this bullshit.

"No one could see this coming," declares man who smugly dismissed everyone who saw it coming.

Our favorite song is on 🎶 🕺 New Jersey is joining the growing number of states in the U.S. working to #MakePollutersPay for fossil-fueled climate disasters.

what a visual

Smith's Acute Care Alberta funding announcement is nothing more than the announcement of the privatization of surgeries in Alberta. #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

"We should run the government like a business."

One man just wiped out $10 trillion in wealth, is destroying centuries-old legal protections, and seems determined to unravel humanity’s greatest public health achievement. In 3 months. I don’t know how we get out of this. But if we do, one person can never have that kind of power again.
