Is it woke to consider Pluto a planet? Or is it woke the other way? Please help, I need to know why I feel angry all the time

"Donald Trump is betraying the Donald Trump who existed solely in my imagination again" is the kind of analysis you need to bring if you're interested in a luctrative political punditry sinecure

If passed, the SAVE Act would limit access to our democracy for millions of eligible voters. The House has already passed it, but the Senate can still stop it in its tracks. Tell your Senator to REJECT this bill in defense of our voting rights.

As a #NightOwl, I'm attracted by art depicting night scenes. this Japanese print from the Edo period shows 4 people in elaborate dress viewing peonies (on a pavillion?). One person holds a lantern, one holds a fan & one seems to have a decorated sword on their person? (Attribution in alt text.)

I have no idea if Joe Walsh can run as a Dem & beat Lindsey Graham in 2026, but I suspect he'd have a better chance running against Mace, if he lives in SC CD-01. www.postandcourier.com/news/local_s...

Horrific that #MelissaHortman was killed for what she did to improve the live of Minnesotans, but what an amazing legacy she left.

I can't stop laughing. I honestly have only seen No Kings Day content until this. And that was enough. But this is just <chef's kiss emoji>.

It should not be lost on anyone that Minnesota Rep Melissa Hortman, who was shot to death in her home last night by an assassin, was a gun safety advocate who worked tirelessly to protect her constituents from gun violence.

Nothing against the residents of DC, and certainly nothing against #NoKings protestors there, but I'm hoping DC gets some of the stormy weather we're having—or at least enough rain to "ruin" Trump's hair and makeup...

You know what's a nightmare? Tomorrow I have to Venmo all of these protesters for George Soros

Walz announces that Rep. Melissa Hortman is dead as a result of a "politically motivated assassination"

@postandcourier.bsky.social At least someone thinks hindreds of peaceful protestors downtown is news: charlestoncitypaper.com/2025/06/13/t...

LA people, Critical Resistance is offering a “We Keep Us Safe” workshop on protecting the community from ICE on Monday at 6:30. Register: criticalresistance.us4.list-manage.com/track/click

Something that helps ground me (somewhat) in these precarious times is to think of history as cyclical. People suffer injustice, they figure out how to counteract it through peaceable means or violent revolution. After the struggle, things are better for a while, but within a generation or two...

Strong stuff from a Senator who tends to choose her words very carefully.

Never mind that the lettuce for your future salads is rotting in the fields...you can always dine on the word salad with window dressing served up by Trump's DoJ lawyers. No nutritional value & it's really hard to chew, but there are also...zero calories!

For years the GOP has tried to brainwash their voters into thinking the 2nd Amendment (or sometimes the 1st if they want to say something offensive or inflammatory) is all there is to the Constitution.

There's so much that people kind of gloss over in their brains when they say that "they're gonna do martial law!" and you really shouldn't: 1.) Constantly deploying all of federal LE dramatically overstretches you and means it's incredibly easy for things to kick off elsewhere.

This took a while to get done, but I've chronicled my day among the protesters in Los Angeles, and the idea that this is anything but a celebration of cultural heritage and a firm, nonviolent demand to protect family, friends and neighbors is totally ridiculous. prospect.org/justice/crie...

We feed you. They hunt us.

My strong instinct is that Trump's threats against Americans' first amendment right to peaceably assemble is going to massively juice attendance at Saturday's protests. www.nokings.org

A full Tejano band in a big truck rolled into the Olvera St, the lead singer has a Fuck ICE shirt on, and this protest is now a dance party
