Ukraine's wildly successful drone attack on Russia was an intricate plan that probably took a year to arrange. That means when Trump berated Zelensky four months ago for not having the cards, Zelensky knew he had the cards. But, unlike Trump, he's smart enough to know when to keep quiet.

Lindsey Graham is out of control

"Is that not one of the most narcissistic, self-absorbed things you’ve ever seen?" one social media user questioned.

Some interesting insights here, including that people are much more influenced by *people they follow* switching platforms than by their own *followers* switching platforms. Preprint: "Why Academics are Leaving Twitter for Bluesky" arxiv.org/abs/2505.24801

THANK YOU BOSTON!

Read it, and read it again. This is happening all through the FOTUS regime. Depts lead by unqualified folks who want to tear then down.

Nothing to see here! A 26-year old fever swamp right-winger, anti-Leo Frank, pro-Great Replacement theory, and pro-Putin, is now the Pentagon press secretary. www.stripes.com/theaters/us/...

Democratic Rep. Jerrold Nadler is demanding a congressional investigation after an aide at his Manhattan office was handcuffed and detained by Department of Homeland Security officers in an outrageous incident last week.

Jonathan Joss--voice actor of John Redcorn from King of the Hill, and Ken Hotate from Parks and Rec--was killed in a homophobic hate crime today. I'm so angry.

The Trump administration is once again asking the Supreme Court to block a federal judge’s order that temporarily halted its plans for mass layoffs and agency program closures.

In this story ICE cannot get their story straight—do they or do they not “as a matter of routine” ask media to blur the faces of the people working for ICE rounding up immigrants?

In 2023, the head of a Tennessee juvenile detention center told us, “What we do is treat everybody like they’re in here for murder. You don’t have a problem if you do that.” Now, Richard L. Bean is out of a job after the mayor "lost confidence" in him. @paigepfleger.bsky.social @wpln.bsky.social

DOGE is now reviewing every NIH grant that goes out, I reported last week. That review is AI-driven and is screening for DEI, trans health, China, vaccine hesitancy, and the institutions to whom Trump has blocked funding, @hannahnatanson.bsky.social reports. Gift link: wapo.st/3HhnPSt

Math is hard... but Google is free.

"Seriously, if Palantir isn't the deep state, then what is?" wrote Trump supporter Nick Fuentes.

Phang: These “radical left” judges? These are judges that you had a hand in appointing—or they were appointed under Republican administrations. So how very convenient that when you don’t get your way, suddenly these are all radical left judges. He is just an intellectually lazy asshole.

The Department of Justice no longer represents the best interests of the American people. Under Bondi, it has been transformed into little more than a cog in the authoritarian machine doing Donald Trump’s bidding. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/the-...

Economists warn that by increasing the U.S. national debt during a period of relative economic strength, the government is running the risk that the tipping point will come at the worst possible moment.

Our hunger for the collapse of Trump’s movement isn’t just about justice—it’s about the thrill of witnessing a story we know how to consume. Cults don’t disappear; they go viral. https://trib.al/NzAYgOF

This Pride Month, we celebrate a simple truth: hate has no home here. From Texas to D.C., our movement for equality is growing. Let’s build a future where every queer and trans person is safe, where workers have power, and where love and dignity beat hate and greed. 🌈✊🏽

Rs say this bcuz the truth - "i don't think saving those people is worth the cost" - doesn't sound good. But if you spend $800 bn less on providing insurance, some people will lose insurance. Of them, some will get sick. Of them, some will be too poor get sufficient care. Of them, some will die.

The Boulder terror suspect’s visa expired in March under Trump. Why did Trump let him stay?

"while [Elmo] was the most-unstable, wacked-out member of [Donny's cabal], we should consider the full array of misfits, cranks, Nazi sympathizers, demagogues, anti-constitutionalists and habitual liars who populate his team" @jenrubin.bsky.social's piece is really great 💯
