If you're a fan of Burton's films, you should check out Batman: Resurrection by John Jackson Miller (@farawaypress.com). It's set between the '89 and '92 films, and it perfectly captures the tone and texture of the Burton movies.

Terrific book. @davidmoody.bsky.social is trying something a bit different here, and he gives one of his best literary performances.

Is it weird that this is one of my comfort movies?

The customers are not always right.

Ruh-ro.

While it's perfectly safe to wash your hair with shampoo, I do not recommend washing your hair with realpoo.

It's been a decade, more or less, since @joe-hill.bsky.social's previous novel (the magnificent The Fireman), but let me tell you, King Sorrow is worth the wait. As opuses go, this one is spectacularly magnum.

Watching Jaws the way Mr. Spielberg intended, interrupted constantly by ads for medications that can, apparently, kill you.

I wonder whether Keanu Reeves uses Air Wick room deodorizers.

My friend James Kahn's new memoir is out... published by my friend Ben Ohmart at Bear Manor Media . If you are a STAR WARS fan, or are interested in novelizations and TV writing, this is the book for you!

This is why I came to Bluesky. (Well, this and, you know, avoiding Nazis and bigots and whatnot.)

Look what the publisher sent me. Mere human words cannot adequately express the joyous, quivering anticipation I am feeling. @joe-hill.bsky.social @harpercollinsca.bsky.social

Hey Bluesky, could you help me spread the word about my Etsy shop? A sale or two would be a colossal help. All of my creations are designed, hand-sewn, hand-embroidered by me. Each takes many hours to make. jeremycreature.etsy.com

There's either a serial killer preying on the people of Thussock, or something far worse. New edition – now includes a bonus original STRANGERS short story EPISODE 5. www.davidmoody.net/books-2/stra...

Sign me up. On paper. With a pen.

I forgot to put on a hat and sunscreen when I went fishing and now I have a haddock.

He's a handy fella, apparently.

This is one of the funniest, most clever caper novels I've read in a long time. You don't need to live on the South Shore of Nova Scotia to enjoy the book (but there is some added local-interest value).

BABY BUNNY

At the end of the book, the authors talk about months prior to the 2024 presidential election. It's shocking and disheartening to see all (or at least many) of Musk's lies collected here. Laid bare, they are so ridiculous it's difficult to understand how people believed them.

I would read this novel with big, wide eyes.

I love this goofball.

Kitten loves laundry time.

Just a heads up that Vudu/Fandango at Home is offering the complete series of HILL STREET BLUES for $19.99, which I kinda think is worth it. It's the daddy of em all (Sopranos, Breaking Bad, E/R, etc.)

Monty Python's Flying Circus.

If this book's revelations are true -- and, given the authors' rigorous fact-checking and documentation, I believe they are -- then Musk is far more delusional, deceitful, egotistical, and hypocritical than we knew.

Dearest @npr.org, The "germ theory" isn't a theory. It's a conclusively established fact. And it isn't "widely accepted," it's acknowledged as fact by everyone in the legitimate scientific/medical community. On the other hand, the miasma theory is claptrap.

"Cheering crowds." Crowds. Apparently @washingtonpost.com is hallucinating again.

Father's Day gift from me to me.

Lovely.

Don Adams once bought a copy of Gone With the Wind from me.

Ooohhhhh, I understand. Somebody forgot to tell the Oilers there was a hockey game tonight.

Is there a legitimate reason for Democratic senators to vote in favour of the Republicans' crypto bill? Is it a bill worth supporting? I'm asking a serious question; serious answers, please.

Reading, in e-galley form, The Tesla Files: A Whistleblower, A Leak, A Fight for Truth: The Inside Story of Musk's Empire, by journalists Sonke Iwesen and Michael Verfurden (@mv6.bsky.social). Now this is journalism. Wow.
