Sheets should say what size they are on the label so you know you're putting the correct ones on the bed before fighting with the wrong-sized fitted sheet. This is a common-sense reform we can all get behind.

Well, at least the Knicks had this (which is incredibly embarrassing from a city whose fans used to ridicule Red Sox fans for celebrating wild card victories). www.nyc.gov/office-of-th...

Friday night musings: If any of the Harvard cases reach the Supreme Court, which justices will recuse? Kagan was a dean at Harvard Law. Roberts, Kagan, Gorsuch, and Brown Jackson all went to Harvard Law. A quorum on the court is six. Will they have enough justices to decide a case?

There's a new addition to our sign this year, @bsky.app (Follow us at @tufts.edu)

If you could only watch the movies of one actor, director, or composer for the rest of your life, who would you choose? I'd take John Williams and never look back.

The Celtics missed 45 three pointers and still only lost by three. This game makes me feel more confident that the Celtics will win in five.

Lead women heading through Wellesley. #bostonmarathon

Wired is doing some impressive reporting these days. Worth being added to the list that includes ProPublica, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and a few others.

Two questions after watching my daughter's basketball game. First, the kids wiping the bottom of their sneakers? We used to do this because Larry Bird did it. Why are they doing it? Second, the other team was in a full-court press up 29-15 with 40 seconds left. What happened to sportsmanship?

Thank you, Eagles.

Some nice views from here.

They should do a Manning-cast version of the #Grammys but with my in-laws instead of Peyton and Eli. I'm telling you it would be the greatest broadcast in history.

As a Bruins fan, I remember when they traded Joe Thornton without shopping him around and getting a paltry return. I can only imagine how much angrier Mav's fans are right now. A broken down AD is all they got for a 25yo top-5 player in the league? And, once again, the Lakers are gifted a superstar.

Sigh, go Eagles.

Come on, #Bills. America turns its lonely eyes to you. (Please don't make me have to root for Philadelphia next week.)

My neighbors have a dog named Denali, do they need to rename it McKinley now?

The Great Molasses Flood occurred 105 years ago today. 2.3 million gallons of molasses erupted from the ruptured Purity Distilling Company's 50 foot tall tank, rushing through Boston’s North End at 35mph. Buildings and homes were destroyed, and 21 people were killed. #history #archives

I hope the incoming administration realizes just how valuable university-based research can be to society. These awful diseases couldn't care less whether you are a Democrat or a Republican.

With former Patriot linebacker Mike Vrabel replacing former Patriot linebacker Jerod Mayo, I'm wondering how many former Patriot linebackers they'd have to go through to get to Monty Beisel.

I'm reading a book about Calvin Coolidge that mentions Maine holding their 1920 presidential election vote in September. Can this be right? @beschlossdc1776.bsky.social -- Can you help me out here?

Moving my annual rant about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer here. It is an awful story. Everyone treats Rudolph terribly until they need him. Had it never been foggy, Rudolph would have remained exiled. What type of lesson is that? Be nice to people because they might be useful someday? Truly awful.

I'll be thrilled if Juan Soto ends up signing with the Red Sox because it will mean that the team is finally serious about winning again. But it's definitely takes more skill to identify and nurture potential than it takes to simply buy talent.
