Brand new PRT bus lanes in Downtown #Pittsburgh!

More red bus lanes are getting established in Downtown #Pittsburgh! There are also a lot of routing changes on the way for buses that serve Downtown next month! www.unionprogress.com/2025/05/19/s...

In 2009, the minimum wage was set in Pennsylvania at $7.25   Since 2009, we’ve tried to increase the minimum wage.   Since 2009, Republican legislators have blocked a raise.   $7.25 for 16 years.   It’s time to raise the wage.

in order to cast their ballots in the ancient city of pittsburgh, inhabitants first must climb the 10,000 steps to enlightenment

These new I voted stickers are marvelous! #vote #Pittsburgh

OK, here's some information on the referendums on the ballot for #Pittsburgh voters. Be sure to vote if you are able - this is more than just an election for Mayor (but that Mayoral election is really important too!) www.msn.com/en-us/news/u...

My mind was absolutely blown when I discovered TTC's 10 min or better network. Not only did it have service as frequent as every 10 minutes, but it was 7 days a week, from 6am to 1am.... That's unheard of in the US! Brampton's suburban service is amazing too compared to the US. Via is bad though

In the words of this operator, "Y'all better pay!" www.phillyvoice.com/watch-philly...

Ah ha! Here's what we were being distracted from with the Biden and Harris talk! Absolutely unreal....

I was wondering why the Allegheny County Democrats endorsed O'Connor over Gainey, but then I saw the vote was 274 vs 270, and there was no reason given beyond the vote that I could find. Goodness this will be a very close race for #Pittsburgh #Mayor...at least the Democratic Candidate

Awesome! I really need to go off the beaten path a bit more often and find these little trails!

Bus routes are changing next month in Downtown #Pittsburgh. Maps with the details are available, but the Strip District buses remain on the same routing much to my great disappointment 😫. Details here: engage.rideprt.org/nextransit-d...

Heck yeah! I'm glad to see folks understood the assignment and are using the service up there. Let's keep it it m up, get the transit funding we need, and keep T service running through Allentown full time! #Pittsburgh #LightRail www.instagram.com/p/DJueIb5AUj...

I think we should spend less time worrying about how affordable brand new homes are and more time worrying about how affordable existing older homes are.

Pittsburgh city workers are some of the most talented + dedicated people I know. They serve our communities in extraordinary ways. The # of people who have asked me if their job is safe because of Corey’s lies + fear mongering is appalling. They deserve our thanks, not fear for their job security.

Wow, this was a really interesting article about O'Connor's time in council. This doesn't paint a good image of him, so now I'm even more undecided. I definitely don't want an absentee Mayor - I dealt with that with Kenney in Philly. I always appreciated that Gainey was willing to be present.

The new pedestrian bridge to Riverview Park looks good! I didn't realize it would be so high. #Pittsburgh #Bikelife

Anyone notice that in every situation featured here on camera, there was a line of SUVs, pickups, and vans parked along the side of the road? What can be done to improve visibility for crossing pedestrians, other than removing the parking, of course. #NYC brooklyn.news12.com/community-bl...

That bus lane is so bright and red, wow!

Always keep them guessing. #bikelife #Pittsburgh #bikecommute

I post this somewhere every year since I saw it 8 years ago. Even though I have wanted to make one, I could never top this. To me it is the most perfect Bike Week short. I ❤️ the actors, scenery, music and theme. It makes me swoon. Take a look! Via @bikewinnipeg.bsky.social vimeo.com/171643442

Steel Army is PACKED for the first ever Pittsburgh Riveters match.

Pittsburgh—unlike many other US cities—provides homeless people "credible offers" for long-term housing before sweeping encampments, rather than kicking people out & placing them in emergency shelters, which are often dangerous & inadequate. It's an interesting program other cities might consider:

Oof. Kudos to us for avoiding a collision in such a small space. Dunno what was going on with those cars though lol

What's the proper cycling etiquette here? Should I have just cut through the line if pedestrians crossing against the green light? I did frown when the last guy decided to just jump in front of me.... #UrbanCycling #Pittsburgh #bikelife #bikecommute

We celebrated a day early here in Pittsburgh!

I was told that installing bike lanes would destroy small business districts like the Strip District in #Pittsburgh, though. #urbancycling #bikelife

Oh...

This NBC News story is about my interview with Ms. Rachel. The headline to the piece is fair (‘doubles down support for children in Gaza). This tweet language though is embarrassing, shameless even. Racist too. Watch my full interview with her btw, she’s amazing: zeteo.com/p/exclusive-...

It's awesome to see Pittsburgh featured in a story like this. As a somewhat new resident, it has been amazing to see the amount of changes everywhere to make the streets safer for everyone, particularly those who aren't driving

It's wild books like these are banned. I think this was a book we talked about in high school. Why are the children not getting this education anymore?

He seems like he could be a good person to represent NYC as Mayor. Better than Cuomo and Adams for sure

I feel the last picture with the 35mph sign is more like a 25mph street than the street that has an actual 25 mph limit. I couldn't agree with this post more, though. The issue is that it costs more $$$ that communities don't want to spend.
