Quite nice having a PM who is prepared to listen to public opinion and alter his decisions when the evidence changes.

Fiona Bruce, "We have a lot of Reform voters in the audience, I want to hear from some of them at least" If the #BBCQT audience is based on voter share at the election, how can there be so many Reform voters in the audience if Reform only got 14% of the vote share in the 2024 general election?

Listened to James O'Brien "Banning the Burka." I don't support a ban, it would be an infringement of civil liberties. Like many non Muslims I am uneasy about them, worrying women are coerced into wearing them. Thanks to 3 lovely callers my fears are dispelled. Still don't like 'em though.

When did you ever hear the BBC stating that it must alter “story selection” and “other types of output, such as drama”, to win the trust of Green voters, or of unrepresented people on the left? All the shifts are in just one direction. bylinetimes.com/2025/06/09/b...

Can many people name the chairman of Labour, Tories, Lib Dems or Greens? How often does an unelected bureaucrat get the 8:10 interview on Radio 4? Completely disproportionate media coverage of Zia Yusuf saga

Why don't the Liberal Democrats (72 MPs in the UK Parliament) and/or the Greens (4 MPs) get this level of coverage by our established press? It's a good question. The media fuels the currents of the water we swim in.

Richard Tice, the patriot who keeps his money off-shore and his lover in Dubai claims not to know how many illegal immigrants are in the UK. "Could be 1000's, 10s of 1000s or a million." Surely, before basing your party's entire raison d'etre on immigration you should have a figure?

Just watched Simon Reeves' Scandinavia documentaries. Sure they have problems with crime and immigration but I bet they resolve them with their pragmatic socialist approach that ensures health, education and welfare works. Taxes are high but they have high disposable incomes because basics are free

Evicted my first grey squirrel today. Initially, thought them endearing but they played havoc with my bird feeders, even got in the shed where the food is so I invested in a Longworth trap, caught one of the blighters and shipped him off to some woods 3 miles away. Hope he's not got homing instincts

Lord Kinnock with powerful advice for Starmer and Co on how to combat Reform UK. He said Reform "harvests and plants lies" and tackling that "must start now". "We have to combat this populist nationalism with words and explaining to people what these people are, not just who they are.

Another pointless knighthood, further discrediting the honours system. This time it is David Beckham who has made no secret of his desire to be a "Sir" and has been brown nosing around the Royals for ages. If they had to knight someone it should have been "arise Sir Gary."

Nigel Farage says abortion laws are “utterly ludicrous.” MPs are watching. We have days to show them: the public backs abortion rights. Join me and sign the petition now! you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/de...

And there it is... the greatest header in modern history.

This should be put in front of Robert Jenrick during every interview

PPE scandal

Strange how attached one can become to a fictional TV character but to hear of the passing of Loretta Swit is so sad. Obviously never knew her personally or knew anything about her beyond her Hot Lips Houlihan persona in that iconic TV series M.A.S.H. best US sitcom ever.

Ffs. What is this nonsense about a benefits culture? Benefits are a safety net for the vulnerable. If there is fraud then our anger should be directed at the fraudsters and not the thousands for whom benefits are a life line.

The far right will, of course, treat the Paul Doyle case very differently from one where the accused is darker-skinned or foreign or both. The rest of us must not. That’s kind of the point.

Well well well.. the man who drove his car *into* the Liverpool crowd is "Paul Doyle". Doyle is a named Director of "Farout Caps". And you'll never guess who the X account for Farout Caps follows... Nigel Farage, Elon Musk and Andrew Tate.

“Maybe I’m part of a similar phenomenon…” Nigel Farage, July 2024. apnews.com/article/tate...
