Fun little session getting trapped in space mushroom hell because somebody had to touch a magic rock. And now poor Sango has transporter phobia just like that nerd Barclay. Nice to play sometimes.

Further re-writing, and it pivots further. Antagonist has shifted, but I like it because it frames the dungeon now with a moral issue and the ticking clock is how to fix a problem which will hurt a lot of people. It is also me shamefully shooting the shitty figment of a Brahmin uncle in the face.

Reading some science articles and really feeling like that scene in the Good Place. "Yeah yeah, the time knife. We've all seen it." Also, adjacent to it, people still think Kurzweil has things worth hearing? The man is a damp wick in a dark room.

...So I just came up with a very specific idea for a randomization table to create a diegetic means for conveying player knowledge cues, and I'm feeling quite haughty as I have not seen it before elsewhere. Something to attend to specifics in utility for games without "Sense Motive." Which meshes.

I finished watching Season 2 of the Rehearsal yesterday. So they'll do anything but just fucking talk to one another or let'em go to therapy, huh?

I feel like all my commentaries on academia as a theme within games are negative. Like many things in my life, I blame law school for this. As I get to editing a thing, realizing how I can pivot it to vibe, I think this time I'm going to allow the kids to maybe be all right. As you're not one here.

Now in the prep phase for Kala Mandala for one of my friend groups. Should be interesting to force myself into the dungeon-crawling mindset as a GM.

Doom and damnation aside, I'm very much enjoying some research work today. For my own purposes, but it is quite fulfilling.
