One of the things that the CC/WNBA discourse is reminding me is that in some ways I think the move away from gatekeeping also caused us to lose some manners that are important. When you’re new to something it’s okay to not know things but that means you need to shut the fuck up sometimes.

As someone who gets twitchy when I have unread app notifications on my phone I really need apps to get better about actually clearing notifications when I view/delete them, especially when the app doesn’t let me parse which notifications I want in the first place.
