Seattle in springtime when the weather is actually nice is incredible.

Is there really anyone stronger than me...?

I would love to find more shows like Andor that are clearly written by somebody who have studied revolutions and rebellions. Usually stories like this have the most baby-brained, watered down internal logic.

I’m rewatching season 1 of Andor. This show is so fucking good. It’s the best Star Wars project by far and it’s not even close.

We've gotta feed this asshole's political career into a woodchipper

There’s a new season of the Last of Us so people are once again having a debate over the no-win scenario that Joel found himself in. Most people are engaging with the media on its own terms but the people who insist the cure couldn’t work drive me up the wall. It’s such CinemaSins-ass take.

Every few years I am reminded that Harvey Weinstein most likely ruined Linda Fiorintino’s career because she refused his sexual advances. This is one of a million reasons that he should have been exploded with dynamite.

American AI firms are so pathetic. In one breath they’ll speak as if they are generational talents bringing forth a new age of civilization and in the next they’re sobbing and screaming for the mods because Chinese firms smuggled a few chips past an embargo.

It’s so weird right now. The cavalcade of horrors continues but but there’s this creeping feeling that we’re voluntarily returning to the chaos of the early days of the pandemic for no reason. Like we’re going to start seeing empty shelves again in a week or so.

The US loves punishing civilians with economic sanctions so much that they’re now doing it to themselves.

I can’t tell sometimes if AI has caused some people to rapidly abandon their critical thinking or if its an attractant to those who never had it to begin with. I’m watching some coworkers talk about how cool it is that people are increasingly going to AI for are therapy, companionship, and childcare

I need to start taking unregulated podcast brain supplements so that I can understand Peter Watts novels.

Lil Morning Sketch: Brace Belden if he were a muppet

I hate to say it but I fear that Yellowjackets is lost in the woods and has no idea of where it’s going or why. It just seems a completely aimless kill feed of its characters.

Late night talk shows are so weird. I only see them in clips but the hosts are ostensibly comedians who make tons of money and they just set up stories for funnier/more talented guests and they seem to be about on par with your average coworker at this task.

There’s a unique kind of alienation I feel sometimes when you’re in a group or a job or something and the org is stating that they’re enacting all this structure/accountability/process while they are failing to accomplish the most basic of tasks.

Big ups to the Nix SC for taking out the trash 🚮

There can be no more doubt: it appears that large corporations in the US do not have access to heart attack gun technology.

"WHAT'D THEY DO TO US??"

Landlords in socialist organizations

Premade guacamole always has some repulsive flavor to it that’s not present in fresh made. I don’t know why they bother making it if it’s gonna taste that bad.

Just watched the Gemma episode of Severance. This might be the most beautiful looking and bone chilling episode of TV I’ve ever seen. I hope to god this show doesn’t overstay its welcome because they are doing something really extraordinary.

I need access to some kind of technology that can super cool Diet Coke to just warm enough to not cause extreme pain or permanent damage.

I must solemnly report that the democrats should have boosted an asset class that I personally profit from, not for my benefit but to buy the votes of the young men that I am scamming. The red pill crypto guys would then have happily vote for Kamala Harris.

It's open enrollment time for health insurance at work. To cover me and my wife I can pay $1600 a month (!!!) to keep my mediocre plan which now has higher copays or pay $850 a month for a plan that instantly puts you on the street if you're hospitalized. What a privilege it is to live in the USA.

I’m starting to get really tired of ostensibly left wing people determining that dumb guy right wing podcasts are instrumental to the rightward lurch in US politics and that we can bash ourselves on the head with a different iron bar to reverse the brain damage.

Spotted an easter egg on Common Side Effects. Frances' mom's retirement community is a copy of the Green Grove Retirement Home from the Sopranos. Her mom's chair even has the same upholstery as Livia Soprano's chair.

Schumer calling the cops on these people instead of agreeing to fight Trump. Sums it all up.

They need to make more lesbian romantic comedy movies. Heterosexual rom coms are usually a bit shit.

new conner o malley video is really funny (timeless statement)

Holding up a little sign that says “please stop” as the notorious serial killer, Illiterate Bob, stabs me to death

Thank you for your service Big Mike.

It took a while but I finally came across a leftist who thinks that Trump demolishing quality of life is a good thing because this is all stuff that “would have needed to happen anyway”. They think if the stock market collapses we all get excused from work.

Having one of those “don’t forget to sign into Floorp” SaaS moments at work. Received an email from a service “Phrase” that we’re evidently using notifying us that they’re subcontracting with “Unbabel” for use of the solution “Widn.ai”. Okay 🙂👍

pov: you're an actor arguing with an expert about whether you were in a movie titled "running time" #ocatc

He's fine #ocatc
