After supper, in the blue hour, Old Fox walked to the Sheep church up on the Downs, an old Chapel of Ease. It was dark inside & deserted but for an elderly hare in the front pew. He was wiping tears away. It's all so hard, he said, it’s all so hard. I know, said Old Fox & went to sit with him.

So senators can get abortions…. It’s not about being prolife it is about control, manipulation, fear. It’s about controlling women and stopping us from having equal rights.

8-month-old Anderson Garcia Cabrera Jr. was senselessly killed by a stray bullet at a festival in Utah on Father’s Day. Police say the shooting—which also left two other people dead—stemmed from an argument. Gun violence is the leading killer of children in America. We don’t have to live like this.

Not taking anything away from Senator Padilla because he was treated atrociously But I JUST want to remind everyone that the Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, a Black woman, was just indicted for just asking questions at an ICE detention center in her state Keep that same energy of support for her

We had live music in the plaza during Bike Happy Hour last night and it was magical. This is what’s possible when community, cool business owners, & good city policy are in complete unison. Thank you @pbotinfo.bsky.social for the plaza, Gorges Beer Co, and Jangano Marimba for the music!

OK just finished typing up a recap in case videos aren't your thing. (Also, I feel like the archives demand a written record of historic rides like this.) So, go and fresh the page for the full story.

GOOD NEWS: This morning the Supreme Court turned down challenges to Maryland’s assault weapons ban and Rhode Island’s restriction on large-capacity magazines. Courts across the country have consistently and correctly upheld laws like these, and countless communities are safer as a result.

Join us on National Gun Violence Awareness Day to shine a light on our nation’s gun violence crisis—which steals 125 lives every day. On June 6, wear orange and share a photo with the #WearOrange hashtag. Then, find a Wear Orange Weekend (June 6-8) event in your community: etwn.us/3SsBqbP

The responsibility for religious education belongs to families, houses of worship, and other religious institutions — not the government. That is why as people of faith we oppose the Ten Commandments in our public schools.

The Trump Admin. just made machine guns legal again by permitting the sale of devices that turn AR-15s into fully automatic weapons. Forced-reset triggers increase a weapon’s rate of fire to mimic fully automatic guns—allowing a shooter to fire an entire magazine’s worth of ammunition in seconds.

Um. just a small question here. If the current occupant is allowed to keep his bespoke gifted Air Force One plane, and it becomes his personal plane, doesn't there still need to be a new Air Force One for the next person in the post?

After 6,000 people died from whooping cough in 1932, three women stepped forward to find a vaccine. When it was ready for testing in 1934, parents volunteered their children in droves, hoping to protect them from the deadly "100 day cough." Today, the vaccine saves half a million lives a year!

VICTORY! Thanks to the tireless efforts of our volunteers and other gun safety advocates, South Carolina’s legislative session ended without any bad gun bills passing—including a proposal to allow guns on college campuses. #SCPol 🧵
