Not a single international cargo ship at the Port of Seattle. The port is dead. The last ship from China will dock at a West coast port on the 29th, and the last Chinese ship will dock on the East coast around May 10th. After that, there will be no more shipments arriving from China. We’re screwed.

Progressives/ environmentalists did a thing about plastic straws five years ago and snowflakes of the right are still furious about it even though everyone else forgot. Now it's a deportable offense, & Trump issued an executive order about straws. Never underestimate the pettiness of fascists.

All this erasure of the accomplishments of so many soldiers - Black, female, Native, etc. - got me thinking about the 1948 documentary Strange Victory, about Black veterans who helped defeat fascism in World War II returning home to face racism in the United States.
