I’m at the point in my collecting journey where I’m trying to avoid post-playing career cards. But I am willing to make exceptions, such as with this 2005 Topps Pristine Valuable Performance Relics card. It arrived in Monday’s mail. #cardsky

One of the few bright spots in the everyday lineup. Acuna is playing out of his mind right now. This is the Companion Card found in Costco’s Flagship Collection Super Box.

Daughter gave me some “eBay cash” for Father’s Day & I used it to help buy this signed Dale Murphy bat from my LCS yesterday. It goes nicely with the Murphy model that my wife bought me for my birthday years ago. Now I need a multi-bat case.

The ‘80s were a Cardboard Land of Confusion. New blog post. #cardsky cardchopblog.blogspot.com/2025/06/card...

The past two days have seen two interesting items arriving in the mail. An ‘86 Topps Box Bottom Murph with wrong back, and the same year but with Fisk on the front and Murph on the back. Love stuff like this! #cardsky #DaleMurphyCollector

Latest addition to the Murphy collection arrived today. Like many O-Pee-Chee cards from the era, this one has the typical rough cuts. But overall, a nice looking card. #cardsky

Spent the weekend in the mountains and came home to this. A signed ‘91 Murphy- one of my “Grail” cards.

New on the blog: A Legend’s Cardboard Debut. It’s the first in a series I’ll be doing about the cards from Dale Murphy’s playing days. cardchopblog.blogspot.com/2025/06/a-le... #cardsky

Some artists go out with a whimper. Not my beloved UFO. Final studio album (of original material) is a strong one!

New piece for the wall. From January 15, 1958 Sporting News

I was made for lovin’ 2025 Topps Heritage.

Some seek refuge at the pub; others take a more holistic approach to relieving stress. Me? I make a run to Ye Olde Card Shoppe. #cardsky cardchopblog.blogspot.com/2025/06/ye-o...

Some sets leave an indelible mark upon collectors. 1981 Topps is the one that has me spellbound. New on the blog: Tip of the Cap #cardsky cardchopblog.blogspot.com/2025/06/a-ti...

I’m not much of a memorabilia collector but I love old advertising and decided to pick this off of eBay. It’s 5x7 and is an original, from an old magazine. Will pick up a frame and hang this beauty on the wall of my card room

I am fired up about adding a (signed) 1996 R&N China Porcelain Topps Chipper Jones to the collection. New on the blog: All Fired Up cardchopblog.blogspot.com/2025/05/all-...

I’ve never recommended a hobby-related YouTube video but i watched this last night and it is fantastic. 1979 was a great year, and it was particularly special for Hobby President John Mangini. Well done, sir!! youtu.be/GMZr8_t7b0c?...

Random card from the collection. 1990 Topps Ames All-Stars.

Today’s card from the collection. Still need the regular Gold card to pair with this Gold Winner. #cardsky

Today’s random card from the collection. The second of three ‘53s I picked up during Thursday’s visit to the LCS.

We had a lengthy power outage at work yesterday, so a trip to the LCS it was. Picked up three ‘53s- including this Logan- and a ‘56 Topps Mathews. #cardsky

Random card of the day from the Braves collection: 1954 Red Man Chewing Tobacco Lew Burdette. #cardsky

Saw @Topps reposted a Tweet which featured signed Glavine, Maddux and Smoltz cards… While I don’t have those beauts, I do have these…

Tuesday’s mail included 5 cards for the 2025 Heritage team set. Another TCDB trade in the books. Have another proposed trade for more singles from the set. #cardsky

Random card of the day from the Braves collection. You hear a lot of talk in the Hobby about Pop reports. As one who doesn’t grade (but does have a few graded cards), the only pop I care about are when the colors pop- and boy do they pop on this ‘63 Cecil Butler! #cardsky
