Bottom line: Trump a week ago, Trump told America that the full tariff package was a “liberation”. Today, he largely, though not completely, reversed course. Therefore, by his own logic America is less liberated than it was. The weakest day of his presidency so far.

It's patronising for media men to suggest "people back home" will enjoy Afghan success today. That win changes nothing for women who were studying at uni, had jobs, and ambitions and now have nothing. Gender apartheid in Afghanistan is abhorrent. The ICC should do something!

I’ve just watched Australia beat India to win the series 3-1 and regain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. But cricket needs to get a grip and kick Afghanistan out of the world game. If the ICC do nothing and allow the status quo to continue, it’s a victory for the Taliban’s female subjugation!
