My feed is full of the disappointing news from the USA. I am sympathetic to those affected. But what’s annoying is that Americans *voted* for all this. The problem is not one dysfunctional politician, but a profound sickness in the soul of the country. I can’t see that going away.

This is my first year with solar panels, battery and heat pump. So still watching the numbers like a nerd. Today was the first day when the energy returned to the grid was worth more than what I bought. So my bill was -17p!

I accept this suggestion will have little traction but just imagine if we organised a lockdown level don’t show when the old Mango Mussolini visits London. His ridiculous vehicle entourage drive through totally deserted streets. Literally no one to see or boo or shout. Total silence.
