The old sheep field is beautiful just now. The landowner has mown down his flower meadows and I hope he hasn’t disturbed any lark nests. Still lots of them about this morning.

Early morning walk looking towards Sunderland today. Penshaw monument might just be visible in the middle of the horizon. I tried to post a video of the larks and the poppy field (how romantic!) but Bluesky didn’t like it 😢
