LMFAO

ESPN: “We were wrong the last six years about Giannis leaving, but trust us this time!”

We posted this on IG and TikTok too, but what are you gonna do about it? Beat our ass??

What a night of great basketball. NBA playoffs are unmatched

After two years of Dame/GA, it’s wild watching Jokic attack the paint, then GLEEFULLY kick it out to Murray and set a hard screen. Giannis just isn’t that guy, but if you’re looking for what people expected, it’s a more spaced, downhill version of what Jokic/Murray do night after night.

this is maybe trite at this point but it is in your interest to find ways to create things. basically everyone wants you to be consuming nonstop. making stuff, from cooking to photography or whatever, can help you feel more in control. doesn’t even have to be something you share with other people

I once again ask this sincerely: can anyone describe to me the functional difference between ICE and the Gestapo

-Misty from Yellowjackets (probably)

Bruce Brown seems next in for the Dennis Schroder “oh yeah; That guy is actually good!” treatment. That guy glued Denver to a title and maaaaaaybe gets $12m next year?

the New Pope says he's from Chicago but he's *actually* from Naperville

I love it when you call me Il Papa.

With that baptism I believe Pascal Siakam is now eligible to be named Pope

Eric Nehm (get him here, someone!) had a great appearance on the Hear District. The pitch to Giannis for a kind of gap year is simple: Let’s go get you your third MVP.

Tom Thibodeau drawing up a play on the sideline as only he can—by gathering his team around him and making tremendously loud construction noises while looking like he is experiencing medical death.

I have a lot to say about the resurgent young men / masculinity discourse but for now will confine myself to: I wish I knew how to convince teenage boys/young men is how little of the world actually requires or even invites the hypermisogynist "tough guy" aesthetic

Not now, Honey! The new PUP album is on!

Nobody better—whether he enjoys it or not—at making Trump World legible than @davidjroth.bsky.social

Hello, Spring

Dudes rock

It's gotta be super awkward to be an ESPN broadcaster for a Knicks game when Mike friggin' Breen is right next to you doing the local New York call. Imposter syndrome at its finest.

Can someone smarter than me confirm this: if Giannis leaves the Bucks, he can’t sign another supermax? GA won’t even take a $10k fine for calling out bad officiating; hard to imagine him foregoing tens of millions of dollars.

Aesthetically, Saturn is the #1 planet by a mile

Dealing with the Bucks loss will come in waves for me, but for right now: Is Brook Lopez nicely dapping up a mascot a sign he's retiring?

I mean this as earnestly and as “explain it to me like I’m five” as I can: what is really the difference between ICE and the Gestapo?

I also need to say this for myself: if Haliburton never wins an MVP or a title, he will be forgotten by the rest of the league the moment he retires.

You can see Giannis struggling with no Dame in real time. He doesn’t know the extent, but he knows what it means this season.

The integrity of the Achilles can be tested by a medical professional using a simple but highly accurate special test known as the Thompson test. MRIs are often needed just for confirmation. Hate this for Dame.

@minakimes.bsky.social is right and smart as fuck (and not just because the hardest crosswords I do are easier than her minimum difficulty)

I think we can all agree that Maximum Haslam would be signing this extension, then firing him in two weeks anyway.

Mentioned this elsewhere, but if the Bucks bow out in the first round, it’s hard to imagine convincing GA to give it one more chance if Dame is his running mate. Just hasn’t worked out.

This is on Doc. It's been almost a full month of the Bucks knowing their best lineup isn't this starting 5, and yet. They win this game (maybe two!) if they don't immediately spot the Pacers points. If he plays the same lineup to start on Friday, he should be fired before the first timeout.

It is unconscionable to keep going to this starting lineup. Doc is trying to throw away this series.
