Not a single crate has been allowed through, despite the urgent warnings from the world’s humanitarian organisations and the screams of Palestinians. There is nothing normal about the silence in response

These examples show how most journalists just quote Trump when he promises to do things in “two weeks” without also pointing out that - like every other times he’s promised that - it is not going to happen. See how stenography is not the same as journalism?

Dear Kristi Noem, #NoKings

Um, no. The main priority of the Australian PM is to protect Australia’s sovereignty and independence, not lock in a contract

Malcolm Turnbull on Far Right criminal Donald Trump “The only people he seems to be getting along with are dictators.”🔥 #AfternoonBriefing #Abc

Morrison reportedly inflicted deliberate cruelty on vulnerable women who may have been raped on Nauru, as part of his 'deterrence' agenda. Full marks to Crikey for breaking the embargo to publish this insult to the national intelligence

Here’s my piece about how News Corp helped Dutton lose the election, and therefore the Liberals’ loss is also News Corp’s loss. You’re welcome! ☺️

This week’s column : my last on Australian politics www.abc.net.au/news/2025-05...

Elon at his farewell White House presser yesterday At least he's managed to get higher than any of his rockets #pffft

My thoughts on the splintering Coalition. Out of date & out of touch. 'If there was ever any question about the dire state of conservative politics in Australia after the Coalition’s comprehensive election rout, the self-indulgent posturing of the past week leaves no doubt' #auspol

The Coalition is back together after Ley demonstrated she has learned nothing from the Liberals’ electoral wipeout by maintaining commitment to failed nuclear policy. Fine by me if Lib Nats want to make themselves unelectable just to keep Rinehart happy! Go for it! www.abc.net.au/news/2025-05...

Keep hearing Liberals saying how they have not clearly communicated what they stand for. But what DO they stand for other than the interests of greedy old white boomers who will go to their graves in a warming world clutching onto their franking credits. And I’m a rich old white boomer. #4Corners

No bailouts for farmers Let them go bankrupt

Andrew Hastie describes the defeat of the Voice referendum as 'a big win for us'. Fuck off Andrew. Fuck off LibNats. And when you get there...etc etc... #4corners

Silly old Australia.

Hmmmm, Andrew Hastie says he cares about ‘education’? First I’ve heard of it but I’ll take a wild stab in the dark & assume its not the education of public school students he cares about.

How about the Liberal Party start their process of renewal by admitting that they have always been on the wrong side of history on every single thing in their entire political existence (except maybe Howard on gun control) and then work backwards from there to start over. Good luck guys!

If you missed 4Corners, the Liberal Party has admitted that their cruel and toxic No campaign against the Indigenous Voice which set reconciliation back a generation was aimed at beating the Albanese govt in the election. We all knew that, but it’s fascinating to hear them admit it out loud!

Tim Wilson should have as prominent role in the Liberal Party as possible going forward. You should build your whole brand around his self-effacing personality and demonstrably humble selflessness. Magnetic. MAGNETIC. #4corners

How come not a single person has said they have been headed this way for years. I mean there’s Brandis waxing lyrical about how they’ve offended everybody without even a backward glance to his fight for the right to be a bigot. #4corners

The fact that the Liberals thought that defeating the Indigenous Voice would win them government shows the Liberal Party has no morals, nothing positive to offer, and are nothing but cruel fear mongers. Maybe that’s where they need to start their soul searching - by admitting they have no soul.

It is becoming increasingly clear that no one involved in the Liberal campaign knows any Australians and - I’ll give you this one political tip for free, pals - in an Australian election, that might be important. #4corners

It’s clear watching #4corners that most Liberals have learned nothing. I hear no accountability/l or true reckoning of how they allowed themselves to be hijacked by its worst instincts/prejudices & people & those values have poisoned all they stand for. That even Brandis gets it says it all.

Watching #4Corners tonight and all the Libs on camera are saying how Aussies didn’t get to know Peter Dutton during the campaign properly and my partner looks across at me and says “Nah, we knew him, we just thought he was a cunt” and never has a truer word been spoken …

Listening to Sarah Henderson - a toxic Dutton-like culture warring hack - claim that the Labor government is “driving the country off a cliff” would once upon a time filled me with rage. But, now, post Liberal-apocalypse, I just laugh. Henderson is officially a sad, sick joke.

Just watched #4corners. Gee whiz. What a disastrous set of pontificating clowns they are. It’s simple, actually. LibNats stand for nothing except whatever suits Gina Reinhardt (who is rich in dollars but not smarts), have done for 20 years. Your chickens have come home to roost.

What an insight to hear Falinski admitting that the Liberals worked to turn climate change into an economic issue rather than moral issue. So, what you’re saying Falinski is that Liberals immorally ran fear campaigns lying to people that climate costs too much to fix? Explains your electoral mess.

It’s interesting to me that amongst all the recriminations being thrown around amongst Liberals about what went wrong, none are saying “we were too Trump like”. It’s like if they admit that, the whole house of cards comes crumbling down. The problem wasn’t bad messaging guys - it was your character!

Watching cooker Alex Antic walk through a press pack calling journalists “fake news, fake news, fake news” tells you everything you need to know about what is wrong with the Trumpist, extremist Liberal Party #4Corners

look, I may not agree with everything our president says, but I will defend to the death his right to be impeached, removed from office, arrested, stripped of his wealth, tried for his crimes and thrown straight the fuck into prison

The Liberals have spent 20 years focusing their election campaigns on culture warring and fear mongering against Labor. This is because they do not have any ideological interest in policies that are good for the masses - they only serve a narrow elite constituency. This is the elephant in the room.

Literally hilarious

Antony Green makes it very clear.. LIB & NAT have to come back together before 2028. There will be NO ALTERNATIVE GOVT to Labor, if LIB and NAT go to the Election still divided.

Can someone please tell me what the split is here for senators in terms of which senators sit in the Liberal party room and which in the Nationals? Thankyou in advance.

"Gisele Kapterian" looking like the most nerdy quiz answer ever about people to have voted in a leadership ballot when you were not in fact an MP.

Liberals have consistently acted immorally on climate to serve fossil fuel billionaires. They’ve cast doubt on science. They’ve fear mongered over cost of transition and ignored the short/long term danger of inaction. We lost a crucial decade of action thanks to them. They’re finally paying for it.

Friction between the Liberal Party and The Nationals could provide Australia’s baseload power, because it’s always on

If Gisele Kapterian loses Bradfield (which currently looks very possible), Sussan Ley loses a crucial vote for Liberal leadership. Once Reynolds and Birmingham leave the senate, Angus Taylor would likely have the numbers and will roll Ley at first opportunity. The Liberal Party is a bin fire.

It's from 5 points down with a goal after the siren in the Granny to win by a point...

Spot on by Alan Kohler: ‘Sussan Ley, must choose between two ways to cement the party's doom: either keep the Coalition together without an electable climate policy, or have one and go it alone, without the Nationals.’ Climate is at the heart of the Liberals’ demise. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-05...
