People do not know how to talk to a grieving person who's comfort is routine and occupation. They want me to take time and not do my work when my idle mind is the thing that terrorizes me. I get this is not standard, but the more I am fixing computers, the more I am calm.

I am too introverted for RTO. I can't do the 30+ minutes of chatting right at the start of the morning. I hate meetings taking 10 extra minutes to get everyone in the conference room. It's dumb that people are now walking into my office to ask after an issue I could fix remotely in 15 seconds.

To be fair, it's otherwise been an incredible reading year so far

The Spellshop is my first DNF of the year at 33%. The main character's inconsistency was insufferable and all of the character development was 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

I've decided to personify my ennui as a French Jenny. She's sitting in a Starbucks in Paris and saying "This is bullshit" between drags on an unlit cigarette.

Things I have been downvoted for saying on the board games subreddit: Putting a chess timer on a singular player at the table would be very rude.

I am back to quickly being able to do IPv4 subnetting by hand. It's an utterly pointless skill, but one that is essential to the #CCNA for some gods forsaken reason.

I am already into the reduction of plastic involved in board gaming. The fact that more games then include tuck boxes just makes it better.

Eating anything when one of your teeth is a slightly new shape is... uncanny.

Soft cats, warm bed.

My Facebook account is now deleted. I'd almost exclusively been trawling the marketplace and mirroring my Instagram uploads by the end there. The On This Day function was nice for nostalgia, but nostalgia isn't worth it. Not sad to see it go.

My TBR list has too many series finales on it, so I am crossing some of them off. Listening to the audiobook of Labyrinth's Heart and reading A Desolation Called Peace.

These Thunderkiss beans always pull a bit fast with my current setup, but still make great espresso!

Orchid stole my office chair but I didn't have the heart to move her.

Morning paper birb vibes.

Shouting into the void. Will the void shout back?
