Y'all they did it. @expo.dev shipped the repack job to EAS workflows. You can skip building your native app when you've only changed the TypeScript. It's so easy to set up and fast to run. I've been waiting like a month for this since I gave my meetup talk about it lol docs.expo.dev/eas/workflow...

Huge PSA for me. Big shift ahead. Tech with @expo.dev is moving fast. What once felt solid now begs for change. And then, out of nowhere, it felt like the stars aligned. A spark I didn’t see coming lit the way forward. Standing still stopped making sense. Time to move.

If you’re a React Native expert and want to help us make @discord.com better, hit me up 🤙 we’re looking!

This is telling. On his laser eyes twitter account Lee claimed the assassin was like antifa or a prog Dem. But semi privately his office circulated a different message

🤔 What if you had a database inside your Expo app? You wouldn't need to think about stores, selectors, endpoints, or local caches: you’d just write queries. InstantDB is doing this by giving your frontend a real-time database. See how it looks in this code-heavy blog post: expo.dev/blog/what-if...

Think fast! ⚡ Gant Laborde (@gantlaborde.com) is coming to #CascadiaJS to talk about integrating on-device AI qualities into your React Native apps. Deliver contextual experiences without the cloud—and unlock powerful new capabilities right from the user's phone. #OnDeviceAI Learn more ⬇️

There’s always a part of me that wants to just give this away for free. This React Native course has been one of the hardest and most fulfilling things I’ve ever built. Countless hours of coding, testing, recording, editing, and polishing — and I truly believe it’s my best work so far. 🧵 1/4

Lookin good

YouTube TV is so weird sometimes. The only thing I have watched in the last few months is NBA basketball. And there is a Finals game happening right now. On TV. And this is what it decides to show me on the homepage.

I made a video explaining, step by step, how to implement the new Liquid Glass bottom tabs in your Expo app! Link: youtu.be/L5f8Gy91Gv4

Real world: - Trump team trying to create a Reichstag moment. - Trump telling military audience that LA is hellhole full of "animals" - Officials in Calif trying both to calm things down, and stand up PUNDIT world: - Is it smart politics? - Is Gavin running? - Doesn't Trump look strong!

Talked w @revenuecat.com about building apps and AI

“Iteration speed.” That’s why teams choose @expo.dev‬, says co-founder @ccheever.com. On Sub Club: React Native’s rise, AI workflows, and why native builds slow you down. 🎧 subclub.com/episode/buil... 📺 www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AX8...

Don't update your React Native ARIA to 0.2.11 version. It contains a trojan tomaszs2.medium.com/react-native...

Three things about this comment: 1. Homan is a White House adviser who doesn't have the power to arrest anyone. Neither does Trump. 2. Trump once again acts like he's not in charge. "If I were Tom, I'd do it." Uh, doesn't he work for you? 3. THREATENING TO ARREST A GOVERNOR IS A FIVE ALARM FIRE

Been wanting to try this for a while, finally did 👀 Thanks to @expo.dev + @swmansion.com's RNGH for making it possible 🫡 How’s it feel?

We could really use some more specifics here on the legal authority in question

The Insurrection Act is sweeping. It’s a huge grant of power to the President. It is also very expressly for conditions that do not exist in California. And if you’re hypothetically the governor, you should be saying so.

Reminder that this country had an insurrection on Jan 6 and Trump refused to send in the National Guard.

Bondi DOJ has a problem. On left: DOJ Indictment and Detention Memo allege Abrego Garcia lied to officer by not revealing he was coming from Texas On right: DHS Referral Report: "Subject stated he was driving 'three days ago' (11/27/2022) from Houston, TX to Temple Hills, MD (via St Louis, MO)"

Know a React Native dev (~2 yrs experience) looking for a new job? A small but growing team at a mature startup in the pet health space is hiring — remote on EST, looking for someone who is excited to both teach & learn from teammates. If you think you are a good fit, send a DM.

Wow. What a sign that criminal case against Abrego Garcia may be politically cooked up. "Schrader’s resignation was prompted by concerns that the case was being pursued for political reasons" Schrader spent 15 years in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Nashville and was chief of the criminal division

After some insightful user feedback, we've added a new guide on how to migrate an Expo Go app to use development builds. This is important. We don't want people pushing Expo Go too far. It's a sandbox. Production apps need development builds. docs.expo.dev/develop/deve...

Been playing around with victory-native to build some sweet charts with @expo.dev, react-native-skia, and react-native-reanimated. Easy to get started and runs nice and smooth. Good stuff 🙌

must be incredibly frustrating and disheartening to have federal funding that was promised to you for important work suddenly and arbitrarily ripped away

Which React Native / Expo apps are you using? This app scans your phone to tell you! Really cool and works well. A good way for RN devs to find new companies to work for

The truth is… you don’t always need react-native-svg. 💥 Sometimes there’s just a better way to get the job done. 👀 www.youtube.com/shorts/IiSdp...

Currently converting a client's PWA (used for mobile only) to an @expo.dev app… and it's like applying conditioner to its soul - getting smooth, fresh and ready to shine 🚀

There are 2 previous historical cases of countries destroying their science and universities, crippling them for decades: Lysenkoism in the USSR and Nazi Germany. The Trump administration will be the 3rd. It's not just budgets but research, institutions, expertise, and training the next generation.

Thank you App.js (@swmansion.com)! First time at the conference - what a vibe 🔥 Krakow had such a great pulse, and I was so stoked to meet so many friendly, talented, and inspiring people from the community. If you're into #ReactNative and @expo.dev, this is where you wanna be - see you next year 🚀
