For some reason, my phone doesn't show gmail notifications any longer. I've checked the settings and nothing seems amiss there. I'm going to assume therefore that this is some sort of divine intervention, my own angel with a flaming sword standing at the entrance to Eden.

A guy stopped me at the train station and asked if I could buy him lunch, which I was happy to do. As we were waiting for our bagels, he said he knew he could count on me because the only people who wear floppy hats are grandmas and men of God. I told him close enough on both counts. 👵🏻 🕯️
