“They may torture my body, break my bones, even kill me. Then they will have my dead body, but not my obedience.” - Mahatma Gandhi

"You people of the South don’t know what you are doing. This country will be drenched in blood, and God only knows how it will end. It is all folly, madness, a crime against civilization!" -- General William T. Sherman

For a cabinet secretary to publicly state that standing military forces "aren't going away" because they aim to "liberate" Los Angeles, and to follow that by arresting a US Senator for questioning jt, is the very bleeding knife's edge of civil war.

If your aim is the maximum return on investment (e.g. capitalism) then the ultimate expression of that aim is either slavery or a fully automated labor force.

I am on record saying this multiple times since November; Before this is over, all officers of the US Military will be forced to choose whether their allegiance is to the Constitution or to a man. We are now approaching that inevitable decision point.

Trump has 2 camps in his orbit 1) Techbro billionaires 2) Neonazis #1 doesn't give a shit what Trump says or does so long as all regulation is demolished. However, #1 greatly profits from international students & labor, which puts them on a collision course with #2. And that is playing out now.

Truth is it's difficult, and in some cases impossible, for many people to conceptualize anything outside of their immediate surroundings. They are not equipped to exercise abstract thought, and are closed-off to external considerations. This has been seized upon and weaponized by moneyed interests.

When the wind blows down through the wheatfields and shakes the golden grain, there too do my hopes of freedom follow, alight upon the zephyr to drift about as a homeless and vesselless sentiment. Chains need not be of steel to bond a people.

It would be the practice of a sane and competent society that those who voted for this abject bullshit be barred from ever voting again, as they have demonstrated beyond all question that they are unable to tell fact from fiction, right from wrong, or good from evil.

Right. The saddest thing in the world is the loss of what might have been.

Fare thee well San Diego Until we meet again
