New deal for Gabriel will be huge for Arsenal. My player of the season. Absolute leader in this team. Keeping him had to be a top priority. It will be a big statement to others in a summer when renewals are just as important as new signings. It will also be an excellent start for Andrea Berta.

If a player like Rodrygo comes on the market when you are looking to strengthen in wide areas, you simply have to enter the conversation. Arsenal didn’t with Kvaratskhelia, which still baffles me, they have to Rodrygo. That doesn’t mean they get him obviously, but it’s correct that they explore it.

Contract talks with Thomas Partey intensifying this week. Partey's agent was a guest at Sunday's game, with both sides now pushing for a swift resolution one way or the other so that they have clarity ahead of the summer. No agreement reached yet, but both sides would prefer that he stays in London.

At London Colney for Mikel Arteta's press conference - He says a decision will be taken tomorrow on Kai Havertz, but that he looks in 'great shape'. He adds that Trossard, Rice, Jorginho have all featured in 'parts' of recent sessions. Again, a final decision will be taken on them tomorrow.

Feeling the pain this morning. A tie that could have gone Arsenal's way, but one that again exposed the flaws we all know about. Couldn't have asked for much more performance wise. They were largely excellent, as they have been throughout the CL, but Arsenal just need more players who can score.
