I've been posting a lot of quick hits. But if you want the bigger picture, let's sit down for a real chat. Here's a 20 minute podcast I just did that'll give you a pretty good lay of our macroeconomic land. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yn7j...

Looking pretty grim for public lands

While y’all are busy chasing oligarchs, don’t forget about Trump’s Rasputin—Russell Vought. He’s still whispering into the soul of the MAGA state—and he’s not doing it for the money. He’s doing it for the kingdom. #Millenarianism

Homeland Security Secretary can’t secure her own purse.

Remember that the following GOP Senators who are up for re-election next year were each the deciding vote to confirm Pete Hegseth: Thom Tillis Joni Ernst Dan Sullivan Ashley Moody Jon Husted John Cornyn They KNEW was unqualified for Defense Secretary and they put our troops in danger anyway.

Pope Francis lifted the world as he led the Church with his profound moral voice. As he returns to God, may his call to humility and concern for the least among us continue to resound.

A must watch discussion from @hcrichardson.bsky.social "This is serious. This is an attack. It's an attack on the constitution." - Senator Angus King www.youtube.com/live/5YHvpx3...

And that's why they ban books. #ReadBannedBooks

We’re gonna need lots more visuals, I guess.

She’s a goddamn whore.

@maddow.msnbc.com A six pack of protests across the country! HUGE turnouts all across the country! YES!

Good day in Chicago

“I would be lying if I said I don’t worry. I do. But as I wrote last month: “Despite that worry, I cannot stop standing up for what is right. I cannot turn a blind eye to injustice.” — @marcelias.bsky.social (4/5/25). Me too, Marc. In solidarity, LHT

Today is the day. It's time to fight back against the Trump-Musk billionaire takeover. Join us for the largest nonviolent protest since Trump took office at one of the 1000+ events nationwide. REPOST if you'll be there! #HandsOff

It’s stunning to me that the New York Times did not put the story on the bloodbath at the NIH, CDC, and FDA on its front page this morning.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. They're taking everything they can get their hands on — including our public lands — and daring the world to stop them. It’s time to fight back. REPOST if you will be rallying on April 5 for the National Day of Action. 🗣️ #HandsOff

That’s a great example of an oxymoron, @joriegraham.bsky.social

Trump, Musk, and Republicans in Congress are gutting essential services and environmental protections and racing toward privatizing public lands and slashing Medicaid and Social Security. It’s time to fight back. We're taking to the streets nationwide on April 5 with a clear message: #HandsOff.

See you all out there. Pretty sure I’ll be speaking at the LA one

We have overcome near-death experiences before. We shall overcome this one too. Not by denying we are in a constitutional crisis. We are. But we can and will prevail if we face the truth unflinchingly and never abandon the long twilight struggle against evil. open.substack.com/pub/roberthu...

Joe Gallina: If you could speak directly to Donald Trump, what would you tell him? Gov. JB Pritzker: What does Vladimir Putin have on you?

St. Patrick’s Day weekend in Chicago kicked off with the Chicago River dyed green Saturday morning by The Chicago Plumbers Union, Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Local 130.

After debuting in New York last summer, the exhibition “Constructing Hope: Ukraine” — spotlighting grassroots organizations helping to rebuild the war-torn country — has opened at the Chicago Architecture Center.

Huge props to Williams & Connolly for this superbly designed and beautifully drafted act of simple decency in coming to the defense of Perkins Coie and the rule of law and justice when nearly all of Big Law stays shamefully silent abovethelaw.com/2025/03/perk...

Alina Habbard posted: NOTHING CAN STOP THIS MAN FROM FIGHTING FOR HIS COUNTRY. David Simon had a succinct 2-word response: “Bone spurs.”

Starting this week, we’ll all pay more at the store because of the Trump tariffs, even while he’s finalizing a multi-trillion-dollar tax cut for the wealthy. All the bluster is meant to get us talking about literally anything else.

Trump wanted to cut off aid to Ukraine to please his handler Putin. He set up the Oval Office ambush to create an excuse to do so. It's obvious.

This is unconstitutional. A violation of the First Amendment. A violation of federalism and the separation of powers. It’s unconstitutionally vague. It’s unlawful. It’s unlawful. It’s unlawful.
