“Let your en-e-mies become your N-F-Ts on your blockchain to success.”

I am a Clemson fan, but the fact that there’s a Tiger AND a Gamecock on this cover is so fucking rad to me. I was so aware that no one gave a shit about us or our rivalry when I was growing up instead of us. Big W for the upstate and Cola.

The only fix the CFP needs at the present moment is that if you are a conference champion that lost to your in-state rival, and that rival does not play in your conference, and your rival is ranked ahead of you in the CFP rankings, then you have to forfeit your CFP spot to your rival.

This is like when the BCS would change its formula every single year in an attempt to solve whatever perceived problem it had faced in the immediately preceding year. Everyone remembers this fondly and as evidence of the wisdom of that system, so it's sensible to do it again.

Greg's out here devaluing one of the biggest assets he has (the SECCG) and I truly don't think he has the ability to look far enough into the future to appreciate that.

The aspect of #SouthCarolina QB LaNorris Sellers' skillset that stands out most? His play strength. It's hard to get this guy to the ground! Excited to see him operate in Year 2 as a starter. Ton of improvement required in key areas as a passer, but a lot to like from freshman film! #SpursUp

LaNorris Sellers might be the most No Boring Plays quarterback ever.

Son: "Let’s say I am a legend, why not. Only today. In 17 years no one has done it, today is the day, today I will say I am a legend of the club, lets enjoy it. It feels amazing, it is what I always dreamed for, it came true, I am the happiest man in the world."

seven?!?!?

the noise i just made

oh my holy god

The goal this game deserved (an ugly ass one)

I tend to believe I am capable of being optimistic about my sports teams when appropriate, and I am unable to muster optimism about Spurs today. Hoping I'm an idiot!

My general feeling has been LaNorris hits tons of deep balls relative to expectation because he can extend plays, and that he needs to get better on hitting his in-rhythm stuff. But I would never have predicted the extremeness of this chart.

Fingers crossed that’s not his call

Jane's entirely correct. If you've never played a sport and want to appreciate it, another way to go at it is to go watch an amateur version of it. I weirdly appreciated the NHL a lot more after watching an adult rec game of hockey and seeing what skills average players struggle with.

I mostly agree with the premise, but it makes me chuckle to think that standard makes Mississippi State and arguably Auburn unserious.

Tanner was the type of hire you make when you aren't a serious athletics program. Hey, here's a guy we know and like, let's do him a solid despite his qualifications. Got some things right but seems more through luck than design. Sullied his reputation at the school. Glad this chapter is done.

Of the many reasons to show Mainieri the door, maybe the biggest is he admittedly doesn't know what to do to improve this team

this is a letter to the editor from a high school track runner who came in second to a trans girl in a race. her state house rep in maine started talking about it. so she wrote this: www.pressherald.com/2025/05/14/r...

Curious what reception Ray gets if one is on offer. Crowd isn't typically the kind to turn on him in that kind of setting but there's definitely a subset of fans (me!) who wouldn't be overly welcoming to him at the baseball stadium at this particular moment.

I would like to congratulate Scott McCreery on his accomplishment of releasing what I consider to be the best a song can be when not sung by Hootie and the Blowfish: A song that both honors Hootie and features Hootie. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-DM...

Not losing a Quad 3 or 4 game was an extremely funny bit for this particular team to commit to

Not sure I would call Clemson a city but appreciate Alex's thoughts on it all the same

The man held a press conference lauding RBI as a statistic in the year 2024 how could anyone have predicted the game had passed him by?

It's going to end up being worse than the Muschamp hire, a result I didn't think possible even though I was against the hire at the time

When it feels like Friday but it's only Thursday

I don't know if the NBA playoffs are good but I think at this point it's safe to say they are funny

Feels like there are only two responses here: 1) come, hs band students, let's murder an animal 2) @kdzwierzynski.bsky.social

You can tell things are going great just by reading the quote.

Interesting choice by Clemson insofar as it's going to drastically limit what else it can do with its OOC. Obviously no one knows where things will land in a decade, but I'm curious if they'll do any major OOC games outside of ND/USC, esp if it requires a true road game.

The coaches should also do that iyam, Paul

Manieri is so utterly out of his depth trying to manage in college baseball in 2025. This is a guy that lauded RBIs as a stat when he got hired. Unserious hire, get this joker out of here.

Ok, who thought it was a good idea to make 8 Ball the webmaster?

zuck: the average american has three friends

It's arguable that Tottenham Hotspur cannot be improved upon based on the last 90 seconds

Without watching tape, this feels right - in my brain, LaNorris can miss some pocket throws but tends to nail the deep stuff in part bc it's often thrown as part of a broken play.

It's one of the most pro wrestler things I've ever seen a CFB coach do, which is saying something

Good God get this guy outta here
