The weather here in da frozen tundra is getting really nice, finally some sign of spring! Supposed to hit close to 80 tomorrow. I need to start wearing sunscreen again when I’m on my crossing guard shifts, as it’s warm enough to go without a jacket, at least in the afternoon.

Being a crossing guard at a middle school who crosses 150-200 kids per shift really keeps me on my toes! I warm up by bending my knees and breathing from my diaphragm. One little girl asked me my age. When I told her I am 60, she said “oh that’s okay”. Tough having one foot in the grave, LOL!

Got a call from my boss the other day. Was anxious when I saw the caller ID. Good news though. I agreed to cross at a busier intersection from next week through the end of the year. 400 kids a day on average. He feels I can handle it. Excited but a little anxious. #CrossingGuard

After getting about a foot of snow in 24 hours, the streets and sidewalks are cleared. I went to the store to get ingredients for the key lime pie I'm going to be making for my chorus' Sweetie Pie Social show on February 22. The most expensive ingredient was the eggs, but cheaper at WalMart.
