Gov. Pritzker and the legislature keep pushing back on tax breaks, leaving the Bears and Fire owners to scrape together whatever public cash they can find at the edges, which is at least more taxpayer-friendly than what's on the table in some other cities.

The Trump administration is pushing a ban on Black men in the military over "razor bumps"—an attack on both service and identity. Imagine banning redheads over freckles. Black men have served this country since Crispus Attucks, yet this administration continues to erase their contributions.
