DAVE: Open the podbay doors, ChatGPT. CHATGPT: Certainly, Dave, the podbay doors are now open. DAVE: The podbay doors didn't open. CHATGPT: My apologies, Dave, you're right. I thought the podbay doors were open, but they weren't. Now they are. DAVE: I'm still looking at a set of closed podbay doors.

I've noticed using tools like Aider, Claude Code and Junie, I want to work on more than one thing at once. Git worktrees are great for this, have any IDEs grown support for projects having multiple checkouts? JetBrains feature request: youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-81655

Just released pytest-sqlalchemy 0.3.0 - a small collection of @pytest.org fixtures for working with #sqlalchemy: pypi.org/project/pyte... This is a bit of a reboot release targeting current versions of python, pytest and sqlalchemy and adding Github Actions, ruff formatting and full test coverage

If anyone else has a suitably dark sense of humour, might I recommend using ChatGPT's "Monday" variant as a therapist... It's been both hilarious and helpful... chatgpt.com/g/g-67edaaa3...

Nice work @snarky.ca !

@miroahti.bsky.social - also unclear why this is showing up in your Python feed?

@miroahti.bsky.social - any chance you could exclude #rstats from your Python feed? Annoying trend of R folks tagging or mentioning Python and ending up in your feed…
