Guess it got pretty windy last night…

Imagine waking up today and being one of the Democrats who voted to confirm Kristi Noem.

Sitting US Senator Alex Padilla forcibly wrestled to the ground and arrested by the FBI for attempting to ask a question of DHS secretary Kristin Noem.

Watching @gamechangershow.bsky.social’s Drinking Game made me realize that @cardsagainsthumanity.com is a hidden identity game, where most of the laughter in the room is the players delicately manipulating the judge into picking their card, rather than because any of the cards are actually funny.

This is @melbuer.bsky.social on Sean’s account, posting here since it’s his video: the moment that Sean and @ryannemena.bsky.social were injured by what may have been a tear gas canister fired from a line of HSI officers in Paramount, CA.

Reminder that tear gas is a chemical weapon that is illegal to deploy in warfare, yet cops are allowed to blanket civilians in clouds of the stuff.

Googling "Scott Pilgrim picaresque" does not bring up nearly as many results as I expected. Scott Pilgrim and Barry Lyndon are the same awful person.

Hell. Yes.

Internet Roadtrip is my favorite thing on the internet right now—it’s basically Twitch Plays Google Street View. They started in Boston, spent several weeks on a quest to cross the Canadian border, and are now exploring New Brunswick. neal.fun/internet-roa...

Recent nonsense from the cat.

Rogue One is an even worse movie in contrast to Andor’s brilliance. I’d like it a lot more if it were called, “Krennic: A Star Wars Story,” as he’s the only character that gets to experience a full story arc. The others each one by one abruptly flip a switch from “jaded” to “hopeful” and then die.

This doesn’t look even a little bit like Super Breakout… But it does make me want a AAA, present day remake of the block breaker genre. It would be an automatic “blockbuster.”

Listening to the Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge soundtracks on repeat to reset my Apple Music suggestions.

I’d just like to thank @timoflegend.bsky.social and @doublefine.com for the way my partner and I feel compelled to correct the characters in Andor whenever they say Mon Mothma’s name — it’s pronounced Mog Chothra.

Exercising long unused muscles feels like riffling through a new deck of cards, cracking apart densely packed cells like cards that have fused together at the edges.

Playing around with an idea. It’s pretty dang mesmerizing.

This is will perfect my feed.

Decided to start printing my own money after watching 12.5% of my retirement evaporate this week. /s I’m actually planning to combine these with some magnets to create custom death badges for a game of Blood on the Clocktower I’m running this weekend.

Took Womp.com for a spin to model my current TTRPG character. I really enjoy how easy it is to create organic shapes with the Goop slider.

Today in “extremely niche art that I made as an excuse to play with some cross hatching brushes I found for Procreate.”

It feels like allowing a fear factory to market itself as the only source for “real” news for the past 30 years may have been a mistake.

Just showing off the slick images that are embedded when sharing links to the Ola and Per project I’ve been working on.

I support Meta’s desire to train models on every book ever written. I just need them to do two things first, with the full weight of their lobbying efforts: 1. Make UBS a reality, everywhere, so that no individual needs to care about protecting IP. 2. Destroy the very concept of IP and Copyright.

Continuing to stretch long unused vector muscles to color 105 year old line art.

I have just been informed that General Grievous was a cyborg and not, in fact, just a weird droid that coughs for some reason.

Mayn't stop, shan't stop.

As an aside, the fact that crypto has spawned even one billionaire marks it as a failed experiment.

UBI + UHC = HSR 1. UBI + UHC protect labor. 2. Dying industries can no longer hide behind “saving jobs.” 3. We stop propping up US auto with tariffs. 4. Chinese EV imports destroy US auto. 5. US auto no longer exists to lobby against trains. 6. Ergo, we can finally make high speed rail happen.

NO KINGS, ONLY TRAINS

Filed under “things that I feel should be commonplace but aren’t”: dehumidifiers that replace the lid of a toilet tank.

I bought a used hybrid in 2019. It was previously a lease, 3 years old with 30k miles. I’ve added 52k miles over the past five years. Between the cost of the car, interest on the loan, maintenance, and fuel, it has cost me $17.50 a day. If costs hold steady, it’ll be $11.10 a day after ten years.
