Degenerate bastard

I really really WANT a paperback spinner rack o stick all of my 70's massmarkets in.

Hi Friends: My GoFundMe is now up if you'd like to contribute. Thanks. ❤️ bit.ly/gofundvance

You shall find there A man who is th’ abstract of all faults That all men follow.

haunted house? you just found a new potential friend, that’s a glass half full right there

God strike me down for saying so, but this beautiful Breslin line could work in South Philly as well…

Although noted for a few reasons, this wasn't a good book. Storytelling, dialogue, language...as a friend said to me: "Meh." But I found 1 good sentence & here is today's #sundaysentence "One thing he resolved was not to make that 1 good year a bad year by grieving that it was not more than a year."

I hiss like a vampire near sunlight whenever someone applies too much logic to my theories on life

’Tis thought, my lord, that you took bribes

You just can't go wrong with Chris Offutt's series of Mick Hardin novels, & the newest, The Reluctant Sheriff, provides my #sundaysentence for this week: "It occurred to him that he was adept at loving things that were incapable of loving him back."

The King is mad

My #sundaysentence this week is @eamondolan.bsky.social’s powerful book about a journey I’ve been on for 15 years: “People who abuse us often believe they love us, but they’re merely connecting with us for their own self-serving needs.” To them, he adds, we are just extensions, not real people.

I’m pretty sure every baby born to GenX parents was rocked to sleep in a Poang (probably with the Indigo Girls turned down low on the stereo). Also pretty sure the ol Poang only cost $50 in the 90s.

I am a firm believer that the music playing while you cook finds its way into the flavors in the food.

I will knog your urinals about your knave’s cogscomb for missing your meetings and appointments.

Happy @greggno.bsky.social drop date for all those who celebrate! orcd.co/inspace5225

monday 1:32pm cape may point

My #sundaysentence this week matches the weather: “It’s windy enough to blow the milk out of your tea.”

Well, well; there’s one yonder arrested and carried to prison was worth five thousand of you all.

My #sundaysentence for this week is from @lauriewoolever.bsky.social & her harrowing new memoir; the sentence could have been uttered by me on any random day in my 20s & several other eras of my life as well: "I could not fathom saying no to what was happening, because it was exactly what I wanted."
