The full story of this administration's corruption may never be told, even as it is happening in front of all of our eyes.

These are the most frightening three words ever uttered by an American president.

My alliums are blooming!

Happy Confederate Surrender Day! Should be a national holiday…

I’m betting a lot of the people who are ok with this are the same ones who screamed that tearing down Confederate monuments was “erasing history.”

This was pretty cool to see in person

Welp, see you all on the breadlines...

Planted a whole bunch of bulbs last fall, and they’re starting to bloom!

Amidst all the awfulness, a bright spot: it’s opening day! #LFGM www.youtube.com/watch?v=2N4V...

First crocuses of the season (that the squirrels didn’t dig up or rabbits didn’t devour) are blooming!

Let's just be clear about this--Reagan was not in any way a good president. And without him, we wouldn't be in this whole mess right now. 🧵1/

Thank God I have a good book to read tonight. Goodnight, world.

Now would be a great time for the American media to remind everyone that Trump is the same guy who once tried to withhold military aid to Ukraine until they dug up dirt on his political opponent.

Oh look, we have the reincarnation of Andrew Johnson as president.

I have been a NY Mets, Jets, and Islander fan for almost 47 years. And I have never seen an organization group perform as pathetically as the Democratic Party right now.

➡️ January 20: FAA director fired ➡️ January 21: Air Traffic Controller hiring frozen ➡️ January 22: Aviation Safety Advisory Committee disbanded ➡️ January 28: Buyout/retirement demand sent to existing employees ➡️ January 29: First American mid-air collision in 16 years Making America Great Again!

But the problem with “originalism,” as has been pointed out in a whole other voluminous body of literature, is that it’s a vacuous idea with no real historical or legal merit. So giving it credence when it is always deployed for specific and often contradictory poltical reasons, is just, well, dumb.

Just like the Fugitive Slave Law of 1850

Studying and teaching history is a form of resistance. 🗃️

We are so fucked.

Ladies and gentlemen, the “fucking around” portion of our history is over. Now, if you’ll take your seats, the “finding out” period is about to begin.

My view for this evening:

Admins: "Sorry, you are 1 student short of this class being profitable, so we are cancelling it. And sorry, no pay for the work you've done already." Also admins: "We know this other class is full, but would you mind overloading it for us?"

Guys, guys, I don’t want to be alarmist but I’m starting to think these billionaires really don’t care about the public good after all…

My amaryllis and Christmas cactus are finally blooming!

I don’t care what anyone says, Die Hard will always be a Christmas movie to me

Here I was thinking the reason why I couldn't get a TT job was because we as a society had collectively chosen to de-invest in higher education over the last 4 decades, when it reality was because some "lib" prof was nice to a trans kid once... Boy, was I wrong!

At the dentist with my girls. We got here early and they are running late… And they are playing Caillou on repeat on the TV in the waiting room. This is hell.

This is insane. But LFGM!

Ok Bluesky, your membership has surged, people are loving the platform—now how about you create an iPad app that isn’t complete garbage?

Seem a few of these popping up around campus. Love it!

Musk appearing to believe that Trump genuinely likes him and is going to give him a bunch of power is sadder that Fredo thinking he's going fishing, and both scenes will end the same way.

Hey Bluesky, any recommendations for good baseball, football, and/or hockey accounts to follow on here? That was the only thing I used my Twitter account for by the end…

The upside is that they’ll own every bit of everything that happens from here on out The downside is that it’s going to be like living in a Hieronymus Bosch painting

As Notre-Dame was rebuilt after a devastating fire in 2019, the resulting “new research is staggering,” Anne E. Lester writes in #AHAPerspectives, “encompassing medieval cathedral construction, repair, building techniques, and more.” 🗃️
