If liberals and moderates spent half as much time fighting fascists as they do fighting leftists, we would have a decent chance of getting out of this mess.

They’ve always done it anyway (car chases, no-knock warrants, sidewalk parking, horses). It took me a full day to realize how they *meant* that phrase to sound. If they really wanted to reform and fix, they would have already. This is just Frey propaganda.

this is the most accurate description of what having a concussion feels like, put into far better words than I could ever write. www.late-review.com/p/the-hairsh...

This is an excellent article on the energy usage of so-called AI both now and in the near future. And what they show is that the rush to AI basically promises to undo nearly all of the progress we've made towards reducing the impacts of climate change.

"I love living in a city, but I hate dealing with other people. I shouldn’t be subject to the whims of my neighbors, something I constantly scream at them during City Council meetings."

if you're doing an extension virtual convening on climate and your plan is to introduce a "cutting-edge AI tool that makes national program data searchable via ChatGTP" then you're not really understanding climate work, my dudes

everyone who didn’t plant their veggies last weekend are vindicated by the low nighttime temps this up coming week (tbh I just didn’t plan well but I’m gonna pretend like it was my horticultural knowledge helping me out)

Hell yeah, rapid bus service is coming to uptown in a month!!

*oh but Minnesota is so progressive, we'll be a refuge as the country slides into fascism* ... ope! remember, even "the good guys" can do shitty things, which is why our two party system fails us over and over again - we should demand more than *well at least we're not that bad*

today my supervisor asked me a transit question and sometimes it feels good to be seen by your passions, lol

got to enjoy new bike infrastructure in northeast and along dunwoody and I gotta say it fucking rocks, what a pleasure to ride

so much of everything we’re seeing right now comes down to class conflict, which explains why the ideas of actual progressives feels so threatening to the wealthy and white

Also everyone vote for Steve Brandt. I’ve always thought he was great & he’s now told two conventions in the wealthiest parts of Minneapolis he plans to tax the rich & that is rad af

If this moves anyone to action, @katiecashman.bsky.social's campaign will still be going strong and the official general election kickoff is on June 21st. RSVP now: www.mobilize.us/katieforcoun...

Today, I watched the DFL endorse a republican in blue clothing, while her supporters yelled about removing socialists and literally attacked folks. The Minneapolis DFL is a microcosm of the Democrats. It shouldn’t be radical to support labor (it’s in the name!) or renters.

Shaffer answers a question about how candidates will represent renters by talking about how she’ll work with Landlords.

Shaffer implying she would support a state ban on abortion. Previously was heckled for her union busting. Nice DFL candidate we have here.

not Shaffer admitting during the Q&A that she was the reason for the Mall Park, pressuring staff to change the plan

the second strongest audience reaction at this convention was that the city council villainizes business owners and lol what

I didn’t come to the convention to listen to Will Stancil

the fundamental disconnect between the manosphere and reality is that they are incapable of understanding that this is - according to every woman I’ve ever met - the sexiest thing a man has ever done

You don’t win politically by winning over your opponents, but by building a political bloc that can defeat them.

"i feel like the 161 units at brentwood apartments is probably the same land area as tom hoch's house. that's 161 votes versus 1. tell me where the power is." katie cashman @katiecashman.bsky.social on @wedge.live 🔥🔥 ward 7 will come down to loring park vs kenwood m.youtube.com/watch?v=iUzy...

I used my phone to call strangers for Saturday's convention, please clap for me and this aggressively millennial message

Good morning! It’s a perfect day to realize that the politics you’re used to are gone and never coming back so you can either think about what you want the future to look like and try to build toward that or keep trying to wishcast the country back to 1998 and be part of the problem.

saw a group of kids racing their bikes down hennepin and honestly, it was great - this is the kind of shit safe bike infrastructure is built for. not everyone (and especially the youngest) should have to take the risk of painted lanes.
