90s indie quirky overload on this one. Given the number of roles he turned down, I'm baffled as to why Bowie decided this one was a go.

Did I imagine all the good reviews this got in 2019? Because the movie I just watched was definitely not good. And I'm not even talking about the awfulness of the director that's come out since. The movie itself is really bad.

I dunno, Gene Hackman doesn't look disappointed to me.

I've seen this so many times now that rather than focus on The Blob, I pay more attention to how awkward it is to see McQueen attempting to method act in a film that is in no way suited to that.

Gotta say, it's quite the flex for this movie to refer to itself as "Edgar Allan Poe's The Black Cat".

Watching one of the handful of Elvis films I've never seen.

It's bad enough that it took me this long to see Labyrinth, but how did I also never realize Jim Henson directed it? I knew there were Muppets in it, of course, but didn't realize it was his production.

One of my movie watching gifts is that even though I generally have a great memory, and can recall lots of moments from a film, if I wait a few years I will completely forget the ending. That has obvious benefits here.

This movie is absolutely bonkers.

Somehow I managed to go my whole life without seeing this. Finally had to for the RiffTrax version and... so much worse than I imagined. Why was this such a big deal in the '80s?

However did the small screen contain the acting supernova of Bessell and Davis?

This is both better and weirder than I expected.

I'd forgotten how much of an asshole he plays in this movie. Is this the least likable character he ever plays?

Saw this last night, and it was fine, but, without spoiling too much, that was the make-up job they thought was so terrifying they wanted to keep it secret?

This actually lived up to the hype.

I'm sure you will be shocked to hear that this is a colossal piece of shit.

Watching the rare Universal horror film that I've never, ever heard a single thing about. I'm sure that's a good sign, right?

Quite the cast on this one.

Today I learned that the Skeleton from House on Haunted Hill has its own Actor entry on IMDB.

I feel like if this didn't have a killer soundtrack I'd never be able to get through it.

This is one I've wanted to watch for years, and I gotta say, the movie in my head was nothing like what it turned out to be.

So much worse than I could have imagined.

I refuse to learn who Jake Paul is. I will resume my current task of reading 1960s X-Men comics and listening to electronic music I bought for a dollar on Bandcamp and shall be happy.

Before you ask, yes, I did look up the actor who played Evil Ed to learn why I hadn't seen them in anything else. And then I backed away from that rabbit hole. Anyway, this movie is still fun after almost 40 years.

My quest to watch every Amicus film brings me to... Whatever the hell this is. It's got the professor from THE HAUNTING doing kung fu and that's as much as I can glean from this poster.

Movie number three... Don't know a thing about this one.

Next up -

Off for Veterans Day, recovering from pneumonia vaccine, and watching a movie about a killer alligator written by... John Sayles?

Watching another sequel to a favorite horror film that I was led to believe was bad, but so far seems actually pretty good.
