If Trump can't even manage simple favors for Putin like wrecking European unity, ending Ukrainian resistance, or preventing Israel from attacking Iran, maybe Putin will get himself another puppet.

I just got a text that says "Excuse me, I am Gregory, an HR Mgr. May I share a role with you?" I'm not sure what he wants to share. A job? Is this my big break!?! Did he misspell "roll"? I like rolls, although prefer biscuits.

I got a call at the office from a guy selling tickets to the Carolina Mudcats (minor league baseball). We're a govt agency so no-sell here. But I did his exact same job for the Durham Bulls decades ago. I was pretty good at it, but it was horrific. Flipping prospect notecards making cold calls.

There's only 1 American city I know of that's been invaded by a criminal cartel, and it's not L.A. Why can't we send the Marines to root these gangsters out? They're easily recognizable by their gang color blue suits, usually with red ties.

America is an empire and empires spend most of their time repressing internal dissent. Trump owns the legislature and can ignore the judiciary. Now he's testing his control of force to suppress dissent. His success in LA means future dissent can be quelled by force. This is where we are.

Years ago, Marvel Comics used to do a thing called "Assistant Editors Month" premised on books filled with wacky stories approved by inexperienced kids-in-charge. The Trump Admin. is a real-life Asst Editors Month, but longer and with irreparable harm to precious American continuity.

TV shows used to be full of regular looking people - sometimes even *gasp* old people. My fave, KOLCHAK, was chock full of them. Now everyone is a model. Not just stars, but guests and extras. Apparently humans evolved the defense mechanism of being indescribably pretty in the last 50 years.
