Oh Bill Maher you are letting your ignorance show. Women cannot just leave abusive relationships. The psychology of this is complex there are similarities to addiction. Many blame themselves and convince themselves that this abuse was "love" it takes years to unlearn patterns from abuse

Universities are odd places. The admin operates in their own bubble disconnected from the academic mission of campus. Our admin just announced they are giving themselves raises in June, the union negotiated faculty raises will not be paid until January because of their inaction in bargaining.
