In my near 50 years of software development, I have used a lot of different technologies. A lot of stuff Invented in the 50's, 60's and 70's. They had slow computers but strong imaginations. Actors (1973) might be my favorite! I use Microsoft's actor framework called Orleans and so does Azure.
