Capitalism teaches us it’s wrong to rest. Ableism teaches us being sick means we’ve failed. Fascism teaches us that disabled people are expendable. None of it is true. It’s ok to rest. In fact, for most of us it’s necessary. Disability is not a moral failing and none of us are expendable.
