I've contacted 3 organizations about volunteering for wildfire evacuee support. No one needs volunteers. Weird? Volunteer gatekeeping? People just rushed to help?

Wildfire donation drop-off of hygiene items at Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak (MKO) at 102-1700 Ellice Ave. They are in need of Depends for Elders, canned milk, and individual formula. They could also use baby bottles and reusable grocery bags for distribution of items.

Grass fire in St. Norbert by the bridge apparently caused by a cigarette. Nearby nighbours brought out their hoses and pails and put it out. It's scary out there...please don't throw out your cigarette butts!!

Took a little drive to Winnipeg Beach, #Manitoba today. Happy to see someone bought the Breakwater and turned into a legit coffee shop. And I had a fantastic peanut butter latte. Some pastries available and feature drinks. Cool spot!
