Loved this LQ piece on “zombie leadership”: debunked ideas about leadership that simply refuse to die: doi.org/10.1016/j.le... The authors take on myths like “leadership is always good” or “we know a leader when we see one” and offer more evidence-based ways of thinking. Worth a read!

Barely missing the #D2A2 and having to wait an hour for the next one is not the Monday I was hoping for. Decided it's a wfh day after all.

My politics is whatever this is

Our landlord from yesterday is back. Unlike most of Ann Arbor's anti-housing activists, at least they have to courage to admit more housing decreases rent. Not sure how that would ruin Ann Arbor. Think about how much money could go to local businesses if it weren't wasted on rent. #a2Council

A little electric planing for another Casey Board #woodworking #crokinole #diy

Introducing the Casey Board. A nice #crokinole board from the same sheet of plywood as my last one. The railings were tricky but with some wood filler and sanding it all worked out. #woodworking #games #diy

Peak Dutch cycling infrastructure: A beautiful Fietsstraat, with greenery, benches, terraces and bike parking spaces, turns into a dedicated cycle path shaded by trees in a schoolzone, to turn into a Fietsstraat again after the schoolzone. 📍 Amsterdam, Weesperzijde.

Not an original point but worth saying again - there is not a single element in this picture that identifies any of these folks as law enforcement agents. No badges, no uniforms, no vests. Out of context it just looks like a bunch of random guys are kidnapping a mayoral candidate.

What I mean when I say I want masculinity without toxicity

The making of a crokinole board. I've been exploring a new hobby in my between times. #crokinole #diy #woodworking

Thanks to @lowcarbonkev.bsky.social for the excellent graphic. There don’t seem to be that many of us, but, you know, it’s the birding community, so manage your expectations. 🤣

If this is how this administration responds to a Senator with a question, you can only imagine what they're doing to farmworkers, to cooks, and to day laborers throughout California and across the country. We will hold this administration accountable.

theconversation.com/how-a-new-bu... Interesting way to look at things. Very cool and a nice idea to think of non commuters as well as commuters with transit.

In my time in the Senate I've never seen a Senator treated this way. @padilla.senate.gov is carrying out his constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight and defend the people he represents. Absolutely shocking and disgusting way to handle a sitting member of Congress.

Oh, blessed caffeine Power for another day It hits different #haiku

The emergence of Simon, the good listener:

sneak peek of what Xander and I will show next week at RSS 2025 for the maniskill demo session: Zero shot visual sim2real (basic) manipulation, one camera and <1 hour of RL in sim with SO100 ~3 seconds to pick random color cubes, could be faster but goal is accessibility and low cost!

Taking the #D2A2 bus in to the city today for some work and gotta say .... this is the way to get there. Also the fact I can fit my bike on it for free .... clutch.

I regret to inform you it’s time for a journey into the murky depths of the manosphere youtu.be/edUGXC2DikM?...

Rezoning for market rate housing to share the same benefits single family homeowners have…mainly to have housing in this lifetime. #a2council

Strange note on this one. Over the weekend, when I was putting together the short montage of famous recluses, two that I thought hard about including but decided against were Sly Stone and Brian Wilson. RIP

Always an Onion article.

Good morning, Detroit! #theShepherdDetroit

Torontonians bike and take transit in huge numbers, even though the infrastructure is often hostile. I found this inspiring and disheartening at the same time. You guys, cities make me emotional youtu.be/C7gT3VBXqVk
