Oh, that is sad. John Casani passed away. He was proj mgr for some of the most iconic U.S. planetary sci missions. Also led the 2010 Indpnt Review Team est at req of Sen Barbara Mikulski that illuminated what it would actually take to finish JWST. She then fought for it, w/a commensurate cost cap.
