Paul: It’s worth people remembering that the Republicans used to be for lower taxes, tariffs are a tax. So if you raise taxes on the private sector, that's not good for the private sector.

Rand Paul: "I had a very good conversation with the president this week about tariffs. He did most of the talking, and we don't agree ... Republicans used to be for lower taxes. Tariffs are a tax. So if you raise taxes on the private sector, that's not good for the private sector."

Rand Paul: "The math doesn't really add up ... the increase in spending put into this bill exceeds the DOGE cuts."

Rand Paul says he thinks there are at least four Republicans who are opposed to the House GOP spending bill, "and I would be very surprised if the bill at least is not modified." But he also adds that he "wants to vote for it."

Margaret Brennan totally exposes FDA Commissioner Makary for making it up as he goes and making conflicting recommendations in order to cast doubt on covid vaccines. He's so terrible during this interview that Brennan is left shaking her head as she wraps it up.

"It was right before the book came out from Jake Tapper ... I think they were trying to create sympathy" -- Ronny Jackson and Maria Bartiromo team up to push a conspiracy theory that Biden's cancer diagnosis was a distraction

BRENNAN: The speaker of the House estimates that this is gonna add $4 to $5 trillion to the debt over the next 10 years, and there's a debt limit increase BESSENT: That's CBO scoring BRENNAN: That's the speaker of the house

BRENNAN: Should companies cut back on the amount of the goods they have on their shelves, or just on their profitability? BESSENT: That's a decision company by company

Final tally of mentions on Maria Bartiromo's show today Medicaid: 0 Biden: 34

Comer: "If we can find information that would lead us to believe that Joe Biden had no knowledge of those executive orders being signed in his name, then I think the Trump administration could get them thrown out in court, and then Trump would be able to executive his agenda a whole lot easier."

MAKARY: 88 percent of American kids, their parents have said no to the covid shot last season. So the vast majority of Americans are saying no. BRENNAN: I don't want to crowdsource my health guidance. You don't go with popularity, you go with data.

Warnock as Welker presses him to relitigate Biden and 2024: "Here's what we absolutely know about last year's election -- it's over. And I'm gonna spend all of my energy focused on the task in front of us ... they are literally trying to take healthcare away from children."

🌮 has made it to ABC

STEPHANOPOULOS: When will we see an actual trade agreement? Will we see any this week? HASSETT: I expected we were probably going to see one perhaps as early as last week

If Joe Biden posted something like this Hannity would be roused from his sleep to anchor special coverage. But Trump posts apeshit conspiracy theories and the mainstream press yawns. His craziness has been completely normalized.

Trump repost on Truth Social: “There is no #JoeBiden - executed in 2020. #Biden clones doubles & robotic engineered soulless mindless entities are what you see. >#Democrats dont know the difference.”

Jeffries: "Every single public poll that has come out since the Trump presidency has had congressional Democrats winning the generic ballot. This is not speculative. In every single high-profile special election Ds have won. So the people are being very clear about who they trust more to govern."

Russ Vought: "We're certainly not taking impoundment off the table. We're not in love with the law."

Vought gets a little salty after Dana Bash plays the clip of him saying that he wants federal bureaucrats to be "in trauma," telling her "you cherrypicked the quote" (she literally just played the clip)

Vought blatantly lies about Medicaid cuts on CNN, claiming "no one will lose coverage as a result of this bill"

BASH: Is it fair to say that what you are doing now is in part enacting Project 2025? VOUGHT: No, of course not. (This is a blatant lie.)

Murphy: "Moody's just downgraded the US. They didn't do that under Biden, they did it under Trump, bc they look at this bill- the attack on the middle class, the diminution of spending power that comes with it, and the deficits - & say that if implemented, it's is gonna make the economy much weaker"

Chris Murphy on Joni Ernst: "I think everybody in that audience knows they're going to die, they would just rather die in old age at 85 or 90 instead of dying at 40. And the reality is that when you lose your healthcare, you are much more at risk of early death."

Chris Murphy on the crypto bill: "The problem is the existing version of that bill exempts the president from the ethics requirements. It says it's unethical for me to issue or market a stablecoin, but it's okay for the president to do it. That's not something any Democrat should vote for."

Lutnick: "You're gonna see over the next couple weeks, really first-class deals for the American worker." (The administration promised "90 deals in 90 days" two months ago ... )

Moments after promising a bunch of trade deals over the next two weeks or so, Lutnick says, "the president is just gonna determine what rates people have. If they can't get a deal done, President Trump is gonna determine what deal there is gonna be."
