im very tired of the narrative that queer people performing gender and desire in regressive or non-normative ways are the cause of anti-queer sentiments. queer people do not have to be uniformly palatable and unproblematic for queerness to be respected.

The US is openly, proudly engaging in collective punishment targeting a family, including 5 children. Undemocratic, to say the least, but also a deeply disturbing trend that could lead to much worse in the future. Just as gross is seeing the way these "anti-hate" groups salivate over it.
