There are lots of things about US immigration enforcement to enrage an empathetic person rn. But the annoying thing that's been a thorn in my foot for decades - not the worst thing, but the thing that is most persistently annoying - is how they go to workplaces & arrest workers but not employers.

No, seriously. At 2:25 in the video she says that "Hamas uses hospitals and other humanitarian areas as human shields." It's like she knows "human shield" is wrong, but doesn't know what a shield is, or a human for that matter. This is how the reptilian alien overlord theory gains credibility.

Reminds me of what I was saying after Skrmetti oral arguments. Except while many legal scholars are saying this is new and scary, **this is how it has always been done in equal protection cases** The courts have always be scary and lawless. They are only becoming more consistently so.

I appreciate the effort, ACLU, but with SCOTUS justices actively (and falsely) asserting that there has never been de jure discrimination against trans ppl **during the Skrmetti oral argument**, pretty sure that the legal landscape is going to become impassable w/in the next 30 days.

Haven't listened to this yet, but it's on my list. The NC situation is v bad and while I'm up on some things political, I'm not the person to ask if the strategies are going to be repeated across the US. But you know who is the person to ask? Marc Freakin Elias. How lucky are we folks? Go listen!
