belatedly, for juneteenth: jordan anderson's letter to his former enslaver. in 1865, after being freed & moving to OH, jordan got a request to move back to his old farm (now on the verge of failure b/c all its free labor was gone)…thus setting up the driest fuck you pay me letter of all time.

21 June 1942 // HMSAS Parktown, a South African whaler, was attacked with gunfire by German torpedo boats while towing a tug full of soldiers away from Tobruk. After several direct hits the Parktown was a burning wreck with five dead, and the survivors abandoned ship. [1/2]
