I tried, I really did, but this is a DNF. I read Fourth Wing, Iron Flame, Onyx Storm, and started We Need to Talk About Kevin while I got through half of this book. Excellent premise, but way too many facts just thrown at you. I'm also not the biggest fan of footnotes.

If a book has a movie/series adaptation, I'm a firm believer in watching the movie/series before reading the book. If you prefer the book, then it's just a nice pleasant surprise and you aren't disappointed with the movie/series. This is why I haven't read Dune yet, I promise.
